Made a suggestion post for something that's been bugging me for years 👉👈

Basically, have the tooltip say what was reduced down to make that material, like in the example there with sludge's tooltip description saying "made from an alchemically reduced trinket."

That way people like me who don't have it memorized or still get tripped up by similar shapes, with similar colors and names, don't have to pull up a reference for what to melt down when you're trying to brew new items

For the Ancient Editing Shop...

The Animal Companion Apparel is a link to a forum post with all the animal apparel listed. Tried to simplify everything the best I could!

I considered that! The issue I thought of was that even if I put it under a spoiler, exclude recolors, and maybe even have it as the bbcode item displays to keep it from being a wall of text, it'll still be an incredibly unwieldy and intimidating list. There would be a great many items. Still possible and a good idea, but I really should have reserved a second post in my shop.

I want to reopen my Ancient Apparel Edits shop after the hiatus, but I don't want to charge for apparel that takes me no time or effort to add. Simple items like overlays(ex. flowerfalls, summer swelter), separate entities(animal companion sets, aged book collection...), low coverage apparel(teardrop jewelry sets) and so on are usually copy+paste+minorly adjust jobs, which I don't think is fair to charge for. I've felt icky having Winter Wind cost the same as more intensive holiday robes.

The problem is that FR has a bunch of deceptively simple items. Citrine earrings are easy, but the citrine flourish set takes more fiddling. Even in the same set some items are easier than others. For reference, the aether I posted earlier took about an hour and a half or longer(can't really remember lol) to finish, with the darksteel bangles and steel belt taking less than a minute each, and everything else needing more work.

The elemental charms are easy, but not the elemental armbands, but then only with Gaolers since they have thicker arms... I kind of want to just put "if the apparel piece took me no time to add, I won't charge you for it!" but I don't want people not knowing how much they're paying before they commission, y'know? Especially since some items can be so much easier on one ancient over another.

Like if I say "up to three simple apparel items are free!" how do you define simple? I definitely won't charge for those overlay type items anymore, but how do you separate easy elemental auras from the power up aura, where parts of it have to circle and go behind the dragon's silhouette cleanly?

I figure I'm overthinking it and the easiest thing would be to just say "if it's easy it's freesy" and hope that's all it'll take, but, hrm. I've seen the FR forums.

If anyone has any advice I'd be glad to hear it! I really do want to get the shop going again, but I'm stuck in a corner.
