I finished watching the Castle series. Here are some of my notes.
I really liked it and enjoyed it.
It reminded me a lot of the series Bones. But I enjoyed the romance much more here. (No lead actress pregnancy, thanks for that.) Unfortunately, there weren't many deeper stories for the secondary characters.
S8 was weaker than the previous series, but not as bad as I feared. It was good in many ways but the main line of Loksat was just weird.
I wished at least ten more minutes in the last episode. But I get it… I'm glad there's at least a short scene after years. But it wasn't that satisfying.
Castle and Beckett drag the entire series quite a bit, either as partners or as a couple, but also with the dynamic they had between them and their constant teasing.
I liked Castle's slightly crazy nature, his witty remarks, enthusiasm for mysteries and his relationship with his loved ones.
Fictional stories can be wonderful and full of love. But it's so beautiful to see true love in the real world too. I'm sure Sam and Leslie are definitely soul mates.
apparently it's an unpopular opinion to think Argylle was a good movie???? like dude I had so much fun in that theater, I was so invested in these characters, and everything they set down they picked up again like
okay it wasn't peak cinema but it was really enjoyable and, in my opinion, did a good job of playing around with its tropes
if a character means enough to me i will truly never stop thinking about them. i just retire them into a little back room in my brain and periodically bring them out to stare at them under a little light
