There are a lot of things about yul I want to point out especially there is a lot of unreliable narration when it comes to his relationship with sian

Yul has a rosy view of his relationship with Sian or better yet delusional we mainly see things from his perspective so we don’t know the entire truth as we continue to read, his actions and behavior makes us see just how disturbing Yul is. 

one important factor is how he manages the events in his narration we are made to believe that his relationship is happy because it's framed as such but as we continue reading we soon realize it's not the truth. the whole reason we didn’t think that Yul and Sian relationship wasn't happy was because Yul didn’t frame it as such we didn’t know the whole context. 

the thing to keep in mind is that if something causes him discomfort he blocks it out example of this is when he stops Sian from talking.

here he is blocking it out because it made him uncomfortable. 

We didn’t know what the full context of their relationship was until Sian flashback we get to see her perspective as we go to Sian’s perspective we get the full picture of what their relationship actually is 

While they were dating in middle school Yul is manipulative and controlling as seen when he tells Sian to change her profile picture since guys might have dirty thoughts about her then recalls his statement he said this so Sian would doubt herself and believe that fact that guys were gross towards her

he doesn’t want Sian to hang out with other girls isolates her from others from forming relationships and creates scenarios where Sian is put in danger all so he can save her further destabilizing her relationships with others

Sian goes along with his demands due to fear of his anger and the fact she has no one to rely on, throughout their relationship she is a crutch to placate his temper. 

he grew desperate when Sian broke up with him to the point he locked her in a shed.

he sees Sian as the only good thing in his life and if she isn’t there then he will be left with nothing 

he doesn’t consider her feelings in the equation when the truth of Yul being Yuri comes out, he doesn’t grasp that he is responsible for what happened because as I mentioned before he blocks out anything that makes him uncomfortable the reason he can’t grapple with the truth is due to how much it gives discomfort.

he doesn’t see Sian as a person with wills and feelings just an object to keep away from others valuing his own interpretation over Sian. he doesn’t want his image of Sian to be tarnished which is why he keeps her away from others to prevent any slight changes from occurring that would destroy his image of her. 

There is a lot to say about their relationship its mostly how it's told from Yul's point of view and his unreliable narration of it.

why did Sian say that yul was special?

It's because mainly Yul's girly looks don’t scare her.

why did yuri flinch when Sian asked whether she liked seafood?

Yul’s is characterized by how much control he has over Sian, he needs to know every aspect of Sian to control her so one blip like the question throws Yul off.

Why did Yuri threaten Hyunee?

because Hyunee tells him cannot be by Sian's side and sees through his act,

his composure quickly breaks when he is told he can’t get what he wants he then drops the act around her and becomes manipulative and controlling to scare her off the same tactic he uses to control others as he did with both Yujin and Sian in the story.

Why was Hyunee creeped out by Yuri suddenly bursting into tears?

In the beginning, Hyunee has immediate suspicions about Yuri when she gets close to Sian sensing that something is wrong about right up until they first meet. 

this instance is for hilarious effect even were not taken seriously by Sian or us at first

but as time went by it became increasingly unnerving. If you ignore the unsettling behavior those instances will fly over your head.

When Yuri burst into tears Hyunee was unsettled because of how delusional he is at the moment. 

Hyunee saw through her act and his mental instability before any of the characters did, she even tried to warn Sian about Yuri

and told Yujin to get rid of her due to how dangerous Yul’s obsession with Sian is.

Why did yuri kiss and touch Sian in front of Yujin?

Yul wants to keep Sian to himself and scares others for getting so close. 

Yul touches Sian as Yuri is him bragging that he can do these things because he's a girl and that Yujin can’t do these things with Sian because she is scared of guys. 

the reason that Yul kissed Sian in front of Yujin is to show off to Yujin that Sian is his. yul doesn’t consider her feelings in the equation even when Sian expresses discomfort with the fact of ignoring her boundaries when he gets too close for comfort

he becomes manipulative to have his way until Yujin stops him.

why didn’t sian remember yul when he disquesed himself as yuri?

due to the trauma Sian to this point forgot about him and anything associated with him this made her unable to recognize Yul as Yuri.

do you think that Yul is to blame for getting himself bullied?

No, he isn’t, it has been stated by both Sian and Yul that the reason Yul is bullied in the first place is for being effeminate. 

His bitterness and toxic personality were caused by both that bullying and his abusive household which in turn amplified the bullying. 

But for the rest (et. stalking Sian) Yul is to blame for the rest of his problems.
