The scene where Ozzie protects Fizzarolli in the new episode of Helluva boss reminded me of them

Yan shen and Sunny's relationship is like Ozzie and Fizz's. Even though Yan is Mac's shadow clone and it's no surprise that he loves Sunny(SWK in my au) very much. But that mind still belonged to Yan himself So he really loves Sunny. And Sunny, he's been through a lot of bad things. It's just that I haven't shown that part to you yet But I could only tell that his insides were broken. He just conceals it with his smile and playful behavior.

Yan was one of the few people who knew how Sunny really felt. Therefore, he would never let anyone or anything harm his king. If they did He would show them why everyone was afraid of the dark

SWK had a relationship with both of them, he just didn't know that Yan was Macaque. Because he thought Mac was dead

Yan shen is Mac's shadow clone who came to life during the battle in JTTW. When Mac was dying, they were the ones who saved Mac's life by possessing Mac's dying body. It's too bad that this happened after Tripitaka's death

Mac feels guilty for being one of the reasons why SWK's life was ruined. He didn't even dare to face SWK himself. So he let Yan take control of his body but he could also take back control of his own body when he wanted to

In my AU SWK only caused Mac to lose his right eye. He didn't kill Mac but the Heavenly Soldiers. They killed Mac because Mac killed people and ate them because he thought it would make him stronger and thought it might be able to help SWK break free But the taste of human flesh made him lose control. He turned into a bloodthirsty demon after that.

But in Mac's opinion He didn't intend to cause trouble. He just wanted to help his lover. He regrets what happened and feels guilty about what he has done And most importantly He had disappointed the person who loved him the most So he was given a second chance to make things right. Even if SWK doesn't remember him...
