Been doing some thinks on the theory that Bashir is trans because of the whole "only people available were Major Kira and myself" thing in that Kira-is-pregant-with-the-O'Brien-baby plot, and how it kinda implies Bashir might have a womb. I see the appeal of the theory for sure, but I personally I don't find it believable because no self-respecting Star Trek doctor, in the grand tradition of Leonard "Bones" McCoy himself, would do anything BUT do the procedure on themselves first.

Personal risk be damned, Bashir would be carrying that baby because what doctor needs to prioritize their health anyway

Anyway that would be a bop of a fic and I'm pretty sure at least one exists

Can someone explain the whole Yelena Babooshka thing? Is it just because it's got a Russian word in it?
