These snakes are from @stygianexotics (photo's posted w/ permission, please visit her page!). They are Saharan Sand Boas, and she's looking to work more with the dark morph. If you happen to be out and about and see a SAHARAN sand boa (how to tell kenyan from saharan) that looks like that and is available, drop me a line so I can pass it along. I REALLY want her to work with this morph, they look amazing in person, and Saharans feel like silk to the touch, and hardly anyone is breeding them because it's difficult, so having someone willing to work with captive breeding to lessen import demand is really good for them.
If you could help pass this around so more folks have a heads up to help us look, that would be really awesome! Thank you <3

Friends at The Sepentry are doing a Pride month giveaway to raise money for The Trevor Project this month. I said I'd let y'all here know it was going on over on Instagram!
If you don't know, The Trevor Project is a nonprofit organization which provides help and support to the queer community through crisis services, peer support/community, research, public outreach, advocacy, and more, with a major focus on suicide prevention in LGBTQ+ youth.
From Wikipedia: "The Trevor Lifeline is a nationwide, around-the-clock crisis and suicide prevention helpline for LGBTQ youth in the United States. The lifeline is a free and confidential service from counselors trained to listen without judgement and can refer callers to supportive local organizations and groups. The number for the line in the United States is 1-866-488-7386."
The Serpentry is doing a little giveaway in an attempt to raise $1,000 for this organization. The actual giveaway post, with full rules (please read them all!), is located here on instagram. You can enter via donating $5 through their fundraiser link. Sniveaway (Snake Giveaway)
So, my friend with the captive born and bred Saharan sand boa babies has decided to help support USARK Florida by doing a little giveaway. This post is just a heads up, the giveaway is actually taking place here.
USARK is the United States Association of Reptile Keepers, and they are one of the biggest organizations fighting for protections of reptile keepers around the US. Most recently, the USARK Florida branch has gotten involved in a legal battle in Florida, where a keeper was grandfathered into ownership of snakes he already had while he was allowed time to rehome them. Florida's FWC (fish and wildlife conservation) officers then descended on the man's house, and butchered all of his snakes in front of him with a bolt gun, including a gravid boa that was perfectly legal for him to own that wasn't on the rehoming list. This was absolutely horrific, I cannot imagine anyone doing this to my pets, especially not in front of me.
Many keepers are now pushing to help USARK as they deal with that situation. My friend is one of them! She's raising financial support for them by offering up some of her recently-hatched/born sand boa babies.
She's offering as a prize winner's choice of one of these three babies- either a canary-line GX Paint Kenyan sand boa (one male, one female), both captive born and bred by her, or little #1 (a female) of her captive born and bred Saharan sand boas (the first to escape the egg while I was snabysitting!!).
The chosen snake will be shipped to the winner's nearest FedEx hub for pick up at no additional cost to them. If you want to add the opposite-sex GX paint to make a pair, she'll be willing to ship the second with the first for a discount. Details can be discussed with the winner.
