am i the only one who like. cannot imagine toge’s parents being awful? what i’ve gathered from the mere crumbs of inumaki lore we have, the higher ups are the one’s instituting the removal of cursed speech users from the family. this decision was not their own, and i can’t see toge’s parents hating him for being born with the serpent eyes and fang. i can only see them seeing their child born with such a curse and feeling nothing but overwhelming grief of what they’d have to do to their poor child; all because of the higher ups. they’d have to kill him, to put him through hell, he’ll never live a normal life because of those damn higher ups. and they’re powerless against it all.

seriously though, in what world is a family outlawed from a society they’ve been a part of for god knows how long, forced to literally kill their own flesh and blood, to the point barely any cursed speech users even exist period, and when a child is born with their family technique, do they look at it with shame and hatred? i just can’t imagine it, in all honestly.
