Donna Lee Parsons isn’t particularly well-known in hardcore/punk circles, but she should be. She played a pivotal role in rock history. Before she transitioned, she founded Rat Cage Records, a record label that released the Beastie Boys’ first two EPs; she signed them at their very first show. Twenty years later, after Parsons came out as trans and the band’s meteoric rise to fame, the artists quietly paid for Parson’s gender affirmation surgery. According to member Adam Horovitz, since the men knew she wouldn’t accept the money if she saw it as a charitable act, they claimed they owed her royalties from their EP Polly Wog Stew.

I don't draw nearly as much as I used to but this man was like a god to me, I knew the name Akira Toriyama before I knew periodic table for Christ's sake. I remember being excited and anxious to "see what happens next week on... DragonBall Z!" I feel a little empty and I cry a little everytime it hits me that we won't see anymore new creations from you yourself but I'm also forever amazed and grateful to the countless inspired by you whether directly or not. You left an amazing legacy and we wish you peace along snake way. Thank you so much for everything Toriyama-sensei!

okay so i've always been against putting up a donation link for myself cause like...others have it worse

...but others have it a lot better too so i started a ko-fi. eventually itll become exclusive to a project im working on and will take my name off it, but by the time that happens hopefully i'll have an income from it.
