Man.
We all knew the memes and the hate posts were coming from the Trump supporters.
But boy are they whining.
I thought my kids fussed when they didn’t get their way.
It is annoying enough that Trump was demanding for the count to cease at one point. Which, honestly, was stupid. Biden was already ahead on both ends.
Secondly, how is that even legal? Our voice matters. You, sir, do not get to become a tyrant all because we are fed up with your bitching.
The Trump supporters surrounding a Biden bus and endangering those lives to all those on board. That will stick with me for a while.
Now I see these pictures of those supporters getting a stick up their ass because Trump didn’t win?
Sorry. But we’re not dealing with a man who is gonna insult everyone and encourage violence. We’re not gonna deal with him insulting our allies or him pulling us out of vital programs/alliances just cuz.
We hit our limit.
And we made our voice known.
Today, we breathed a sigh of relief.

There is one thing that means a lot to me. One thing that is a sanctuary from the real world.
Writing.
Right now, the world we live in is crazy. It’s chaotic.
The president loves to type away on Twitter, encouraging behavior he shouldn’t. Parts of the country doesn’t feel it has all the rights—the equality—it should that the rest has.
There is such a division right now that has only gotten worse cuz guess what?
2020 happens to be a fucking election year.
AWE-SOME.
The closer we get to the election night, the more people seem to lose their common sense.
Anyone see the news article of Trump supporters surrounding a Biden bus?
Who in their right mind does that to another human being?!
Oh, yeah. Trump was delighted. He said “I love Texas!”
While on the hunt to fact check another article yesterday, I came across this fabulous announcement:
*banging head against the wall as we speak*
Our White House is literally a hot zone in itself. And now the dude wants to invite [400] people inside to celebrate something he assumes he has already won. While possibly infecting so many more people.
“We’ll test at the door.”
A: People don’t always show symptoms right away.
B: Again, YOUR WHITE HOUSE is a HOT ZONE. You yourself was infected and you can still pass this virus on!
C: Some of the guests you are inviting don’t have to be showing certain symptoms like fever to be carrying the virus.
All you’re going to do is further infect people and turn that building more into a hot zone.
But hey, what does he care? It’s all just a show to him, right?
My apologies. I rambled.
Back to the point.
Writing is a sanctuary. As such, the groups on Facebook have a rule: no political posts, spam, etc.
Makes sense, right?
You’d think.
I’m all for bringing attention to certain events going on in the world. But don’t invade groups like this and yelling “Writers are getting killed!” Etc.
That agitated me.
But turn it into something political and I am downright pissed off.
I log on to find this lovely post in the writing group.

I don’t give a shit whose side you are pushing.
Don’t you fucking dare bring this shit into a writing sanctuary.
We go there to escape all this messed up, chaotic bullshit. Lies from the government. Shit they should be doing but aren’t. Panic they’re ignoring it are encouraging.
Post was reported many times within the first hour. Ironically, it wasn’t taken down.
I said my piece and left. That’s one thing I won’t stand for.

Went shopping with my husband today.
And I swear...
I am so fucking over the election season.
I’m over politics.
It has been nothing but a joke.
After all, the first debate, our own president kept interrupting his opponent until he was told to
“Just shut up, man.”
Then Trump left coronavirus Stimulus negotiations until he was
“Re-elected”
Because Pelosi wasn’t cooperating.
(Yes, I may have misspelled her name. I don’t care right now.)
But what got me is when I was walking through Walmart, I saw an image that had been used back in the day to inspire women during the war.
Think about that for a second.
Inspire women.
During the war.
WHY IN THE FUCK IS THIS BEING USED LIKE THIS?! Why was it changed? To me, I felt angry. From this whole election season, they had no right to use this image.
Not when I had seen a sign yesterday that said:
“Socialism bans religion”
Okay. I’m not religious. But I know someone who knows her shit about socialism and whoever made that sign needs to seriously rethink that sign.
And guess who that sign was for?
Yeah.
Trump.
Man. I didn’t like Trump from the beginning. But talk about low blows and playing dirty in any and all ways.
At this point, I just want this damn election over. This country is so divided.
We need to heal. We need to learn from our own history. Stop the hatred. Stop letting THEM divide US. It has been non-stop BS since this virus hit.
As if that wasn’t bad enough.
Before I go, the whole point of this post...
I seriously feel that this...
Just shouldn’t have been used.
Just because of what this meant:
Everything it stood for.
By all means. Go out.
Vote.
Let’s change this country for the better
And stop fighting amongst ourselves.
Let’s start healing.
