Relationship: Han Jaeho × Jo Hyunsoo

Perhaps it was easier this way.

Jaeho would leave, never facing the consequences of his actions, and Hyunsoo, ever the fool wearing his heart on his sleeve, would die.

Jaeho would pull the trigger, and Hyunsoo's brain would splatter all over the dusty worn couch of the abandoned orphanage.

Jaeho would probably leave Hyunsoo's body here for Chun Insook to find. For her to wipe his records and dump his body in the Han river, or burn it with the rest of the bodies of the dead officers. Remove this whole operation, years of his life, from existence.

It was easier this way.

But Han Jaeho never liked anything easy.

A step forward, a harsh pull at his suit jacket and Jaeho is crashing his mouth on Hyunsoo's, finger still on the trigger, muzzle hot at his temple.

This complicates things, just as Jaeho likes it.

But this. This, Hyunsoo's wanted for so long. His hyung, kissing him, holding him, breathing life into him.

But, he'd also wanted his mother to live.

So, Hyunsoo tongues into Jaeho's mouth, bites down and twists the gun free from his hand when he's distracted.

The whole thing is reversed, is wrong. Jaeho is on the wrong end of his gun.

His hyung is smiling. That's it, that's my boy.

Hyunsoo tightens his grip on the gun. Why are you proud?

He keeps pulling the trigger until the chamber empties.

Blood splatters on the couch.

It wasn't easier this way.

I know there's like 5 people in this fandom who's obsessing over the merciless evil devil from hell megafandom and I'm one of those 5 so I need to word vomit prompts. If anyone felt compelled to write shit from this PLEASE DO WE NEED ALL THE CONTENTS WE CAN GET. JUST SEND ME THE F***ING LINK.

But first, short character intro:

1. Kang Yohan (TDJ). Literally a traumatized boi inside the body of a dilf. He needs so much therapy to even be remotely normal again. But he gets Kim Gaon instead and that's enough for now.

2. Kim Gaon (TDJ). The plant dad who swept into Kang Yohan's traumatized life, and singlehandedly decided to fix him and make a family for him the way he takes care of his plants.

3. Lee Dongsik (BE). The genius cop turned neighborhood friendly weirdo who's loved by everyone in his town. Was accused to be a serial killer by Han Joowon, but his dilfly charm melted the man's heart.

4. Han Joowon (BE). Heir of the biggest name in the police world. Hates his rich asshole dad. Came to Dongsik to arrest him, got his heart stolen instead.

5. Han Jaeho (TM). Right hand of some bigshot gangster. Has trust issues the size of Korea. Met Jo Hyunsoo in prison and fell in love with the way Hyunsoo slapped some asshole around. Did literally the worst shit ever to get Hyunsoo by his side. Succeeded.

6. Jo Hyunsoo (TM). Ex-undercover cop turned mafia wife. Cute boi hiding a tiger inside him. Fierce and loyal, too nice for his own good. Met Jaeho in prison as an undercover assignment, saw Jaeho's bde, and flipped his moral compass so fast Usain Bolt can't keep up.

7. Seo Moonjo (SfH). The reason why I refuse to go to a dentist. Probably filthy rich. Lives in a shady place just to kill people. Met Yoon Jongwoo at the shady apartment and fell in love with how repressed the country boy is. Gave Jongwoo a teeth bracelet that Jongwoo somehow likes.

8. Yoon Jongwoo (SfH). Aspiring crime writer hailing from a small town. Has a lot of repressed anger. Silent but deadly. Hates Moonjo because he's creepy (understandable). Fell in love in the end because idk they killed together it was cute. Played by the same actor as Hyunsoo (TM).

Sidenote: cannot believe Im Siwan radiated such strong sugar baby vibes that he has two rich crazy dilfs attached to him like that.

I'm scared that this is too long so I'mma put this out there first and word vomit how the eight of them could meet on a separate post.

Some of the men yall tag as dilfs are SHAMEFUL. I was looking for dilf memes (it is not important why) and all I see is a parade of rosy-cheeked unblemished dandy men. Slapping a beard on a 26 year old in a suit is not a dilf, you are besmirching the title. There is a recipe, a Dilf Recipe. You do not need all these ingredients but you must have AT LEAST three: a child/ward/apprentice of some sort, crows feet, laugh lines/frown lines, sun damage, gray hairs, dark circles, Depression, intriguing battle scars/injuries/missing limb, Divorced, body hair, a look in the eyes that screams for A Moment of Relief, etc etc. Like the bar is low. Ben Barnes is not a Dilf. Harry Styles with 5 o’clock shadow is not a dilf. TIMMY CHARDONNAY IS NOT A DILF. You are all WEAK your blood is WEAK put that man BACK IN THE OVEN UNTIL HES DONE THESE DUDES ARENT AL DENTE THEY ARE CRUNCHY AND DUNKED IN WATER PUT THEM BACK LET THEM COOK

The detective Kihyuk killed in the car is enough proof that Eden was not a perfect cover anymore. The system was flawed and the minions were out of control. They were getting greedy, and the gluttony was leaving a trail of crumbs directly to their door. Eventually, another detective would come looking for the last. This time, they might not come alone.

The people you killed thinking no one would miss them? Guess what. Someone does. Someone(s) may even know where they were living before disappearing.

Killing the neighbourhood's cats? You're on the police's radar now. Oh, you have an ankle monitor? You have always been on the radar then. Being the last person seen with a woman before she completely vanishes? They will come to question you, they will find out where you live, and they will know it's a place that has already gathered a lot of suspicion around it.

So, you see, those people needed to move out from Eden. It was a pre-Jongwoo decision. But, more importantly, Moonjo needed to get rid of all of them. They had become a liability.

The problem is, how could he kill them all, at the same time, so to neither give the others a chance to retaliate in number nor a chance to anyone to escape and make themselves a risk by blaming Moonjo for everything? There was not much guarantee, doing it alone.

But what if, hipothetically, there was someone else on his side? A surprise factor, to catch the others off guard?

Hipothetically, what if that someone, later, testified to the police, telling them Moonjo was a murderer, but a dead one, that needn't be chased, because that someone had already killed him? And that someone would do it, defintely would, because the lie would be beneficial for both of them—as long as Moonjo knew that someone's secret.
