I have been working with one of my friends for a while now on setting up a fundraiser where the proceeds of her bracelet sales go to an organisation that brings aid to Palestine and with @fairuzfan and the Help Gaza Children doing fundraisers this week to get as much resources donated to North Gaza, I thought it would be the perfect time to start it 🤍

If any of you ever feel like what you're doing for Palestine isn't helping anything, I'll tell you right now it's helping me. I know it is fortifying all of us who have been in this fight for years to see so many people willing to speak up. It has never been like this before.

The tide has already turned. The fact that #free palestine will have new posts everyday, that helps me. It helps my mental health knowing that Palestinians are less alone now than ever.

Yesterday I read some verses from the Quran talking about how "the blame" is not with those who wish to help but cannot, but with those who CAN help and do not.

Truly I do not care if all you do for Palestine is post in that #free palestine everyday, that is still more than many people with the means to do even more would do.

in light of israel's looming invasion on rafah, south africa implored the icj to call for the protection of palestinians with new preliminary orders. the icj denied this request, insisting that its january orders would be sufficient enough in ensuring the safety of people residing in rafah.

we have all seen how israel responded to the icj verdict earlier this month. they have all but intensified their attacks on palestinians, their favorite of whom seem to be children. this will end in a bloodbath. palestinians, already malnourished and living in literal tents, will be bombarded, they will be shot, they will be slaughtered. and when i say palestinians, a lot of them are actual toddlers. the videos coming out of this are proof enough.

at this point, it has been made amply clear that palestinians will never experience safety in their own homeland. a lot of the families in gaza are trying to raise funds to get out of it, because there's nowhere left to go.

there is nowhere left to go. if these people don't get the funds necessary to escape, they will die.

it's vital that you go to operation olive branch's spreadsheet, choose a family that resonates with you, and donate as much as you can to their gofundme. every last dollar counts. one dollar could be the difference between life and death for a family. please don't fall victim to the bystander effect. your contribution counts, however little it may be. and whether you're able to donate or not, spread this to as many people as you can. each second we stay silent is a second an entire family is brutally massacred.

Random headcannon I have is Snape teasing Sirius and James with muggle things to make Lily and Remus laugh.

Potter insults his looks and his response is just a tired and sarcastic “ Says the living personification of Groucho goggles ?” This causes Lily, who wasn’t even speaking to him, to snort and laugh along side Remus who was hiding his face to try to mask it. James spent the entirety of his night asking people and looking up what it was in the library because no one heart to tell him.

Sirius makes fun of the fact Snape didn’t get his permission slip to go to hogs signed (even tho his own didn’t but he forged it) (insecurity projection) and Severus sick of his shit stares him right in his eyes and says “Arnt your parents first cousins? You’re more inbred than a pug.” Which Lupin looses it and nearly pisses himself because Snape didn’t know his animagus was a dog just yet so it was even funnier to him and Lily tells him off saying he of all people should know you can’t pick your family.

Peter thought he could try to insult him by saying he’s too skinny and looks like a deathly Victorian child. Severus responds “And you look like Mr.Potatoe head.” Which James, Sirius, and Remus all laughed at because it was a simple enough reference they could even get. Lily tells them both off for body shaming each other.

Remus will tease him only when he pisses him off (which he does on purpose 70% of the time) saying that there’s a reason he has no friends (and immediately regrets saying it) but Severus responds with “I’d rather have no friends then be used as a toy like yours do.” Which makes Remus winces at but laughs it off agreeing with him, saying he wish he could be independent like him. Severus tells him he doesn’t.

Lily told Severus about being pregnant, said that even though they arnt close anymore that he should be the first to know. Telling him he’s a bit of a dick and apologies for it quickly after. He bites back a smirk saying “it’s okay, youre pregnant, dick is the only think on your mind obviously.” She blushes and for the first time since their friendship ending she starts spitting insults back. That’s where of course he learned how to be so quick with comebacks after all, Lily Sassyness is so strong it even passed down to her own kid.

Severus hates it but bites down his lip anytime Harry is sassy because he is just so excited that if there is an after life he gets to tell his best friend about her son.

UPDATE!

Hussam distributed the toys to the kids! He said everyone was so excited for them, that even the older kids got jealous and he bought another hundred toys and extended the ages to receive toys to 3-13.

For those of you who have been following this, my tumblr 'helpgazachildren' was deleted for unknown reasons. In the meantime, I put together this notion site to help document all the receipts and videos of updates for people who want a backlog of information. I will be continuously updating this site.
