How clean is your Shea Butter? All Shea butter is not created equally. There are grades as well as shelf life factors to consider. We import many metric tons of butter each year. This picture is the sediment from about 100 lbs. It was caught by the pre filter in the three stage filtration system we designed to clean our butters. We filter every ounce of butter that we receive at 500 micron, 100 micron and then 25 microns. This endures that it’s very clean prior to being used in our products.
