I abbreviate "Beetlejuice" to "BJ" with my one friend whose special interest is Beetlejuice and it's fine, it's protocol, it's a Tuesday afternoon, but I just did it with another friend via the sentence, "I don't even like BJ that much. if dragons were real there'd be so much discourse about whether being in a relationship with one, assuming they were intelligent enough to be able to consent, is a "predatory power dynamic", to which someone in the thread would inevitably reply "of course it's a predatory power dynamic why do you think i'm fucking them"
Me, who watched a 2hr documentary about the Hindenburg disaster the night before and is desperately trying to share the information i learned: yeah, a real nice day, not at all like May 6, 1937 in Germany.

Israel is a Jewish state.
Jews worldwide do not bear the responsibility of the Israeli army or government.

The American government is rooted in white supremacy and antisemitism, and is constantly verging on Christian theocracy.
Criticism of Israel, while necessary, can very easily be co-opted into antisemitism. It needs to be handled carefully.
We can expect both antisemitic and Islamophobic hate crimes to spike in the coming weeks.
Jews and Muslims are not enemies. We have to remember that and stand up for each other.
