For the record, I don’t think you’re a bad person about your bf getting top surgery, I’ve felt the same over a friend who learned they were trans through talking to me about it and shortly after started transitioning. Meanwhile I’ve known for ten years and can’t transition for another long while esp with the current US climate. I know it’s rough and idk how to help really but I want you to know I don’t think you’re a bad person I think it’s a normal reaction. Things just suck sometimes

my bf is getting top surgery tomorrow (today?) and like obvs im really happy for him but it has just made my dysphoria so insanely bad like throwing up over it & drinking a lot & stuff. like actually made me question our relationship bc i didnt want to date another trans person bc i KNEW having to watch this shit knowing its not happening to me would make me borderline suicidal. and like ik this makes me sound like a terrible person but its just so insanely painful that i cant even see him for like at least a week bc i dont want to ruin this moment for him by being all cold and closed off :(
