For preparing a cozy night:

I would make sure our takeout (probably pizza 😋) would arrive before them and set aside some snacks, maybe chips (american), popcorn, nuts, some combination. I'll have some thc edibles, too, and a nice babka for dessert

I would then wait by the door to take their bag and jacket and greet them with a sweet kiss. I have our favorite cartoons on and a pile of soft blankets and good pillows.

fav crisps (chips) - Chicken

Nuts wise, I think the best might be a cashew... or pistachio
