yes even to dunk on them. i don't care if you have the sickest burn of the century lined up, don't even give them the time of day

the eventual and inevitable fall of twitter marks a change in the advertising industry, and tumblr is unclaimed territory. if we want tumblr to remain the social media bastion it has become, it needs to remain as unappealing to corporations as possible. do not engage. in a marketing strategist's eyes, any kind of attention is good attention. don't "silence, brand" them. don't kungpowpenis them. don't send them hate anons. don't hate-follow them. corporate tumblrs are not a single entity and they will not be harassed off this site. we only have a shot at repelling them because of tumblr's lack of an algorithm. so turn off recommended posts on your dashboard, put it chronological order, and install an adblocker. if you don't seek out these blazed posts and actively ignore them when they happen upon you, the corporations will starve. in this case, the best kind of protest is a silent one

still feeling devastated over that one part in Ozzie's, when Asmodeus calls Stolas out about his relationship with Blitz, and then Blitzo makes eye contact, but Stolas just looks away. I rly like Stolas and there many parts when i can understand his decisions, but that one was not it :'( I think that for anyone that watches that show, it's very clear that Stolas has a place for Blitz in his heart, but never learned and still doesn't know how to show it, but looking away in that moment when both of them were being humiliated for other people's entertainment just seemed like he was ashamed about their relationship. It's probably hard for him bc Via did leave him because of him trying to hold a relationship with Blitzo, but Blitz was also probably looking for Stolas' comfort in that moment.

i've seem some people being like "oh he should've told her anyway", but looking through Stolas' pov, it's easy to understand why it's hard for him. Via already seems to be handling too much, with the shouting (which seems like an everyday thing) and she already holds a grudge against her dad (prob because she sees his affair as the "breaking point of her parents' relationship", which we all know its not the truth, their relationship was toxic every since the beginning), but Stolas protected her from most of it. Via still seems mostly cold to her mother, like they don't rly have a relationship at all, and it shows when she asks Stolas if he will leave her "alone".

Now imagine if he told her that it's not only verbal fights, that her own mother also physically abuses him? And that the affair was not the reason why they have such a bad relationship, it was also the constant humiliation, the domestic abuse, Stella's unnecessary hatred towards Stolas (since they were BOTH forced into that marriage, and he never chose her to be his wife anyway), all of those things happened behind her back, and her father had to face all of them alone.

Stolas always wanted to protect his daughter by hiding all of the ugly parts from her.

Imagine how heavy it would be for her to realize that her mother is not a disconnected parent, but a sadist that torments Stolas for fun. If I were in her place, i would be heartbroken that for all of this time I've been accusing him of being in the wrong, when all he did was try to alleviate things for her. They are all in too deep, it's not an easy task to tell Via about all of it.

After “Circus”, this scene hits different. How CAN Stolas confess to Octavia how abusive Stella has always been? How much he had to endure her abuse so to give Via, his only reason to exist before meeting Blitzø again, a normal life? I’d be speechless too.

some people may not like this but kit was right for leaving and it is NOT something he needs to apologize for. not to dru, ty or anyone else. "i wish i'd never met you" was uncalled for but that's about the only thing he owes ty an apology for. he saw the opportunity to create a family with people who chose him, not people he was dropped in the laps of, and he took that chance. from my several rereads and what i've come to understand about the books, the blackthorns never really saw him as one of them, only what he was as he related to livvy and ty. and that's perfectly fine and they are not to blame; they already had a lot to deal with and were certainly not obligated in any way to feel like he was another one the The Kids. but nevertheless, he deserves to be a fundamental part of a family, not a ward and thought of as an extension of an already existing family member, and being appreciated as himself without being regarded as another family member's shadow is exactly what he is going to get with tessa and jem. we've seen from the books that kit is people-pleaser and if he had stayed with the blackthorns (no elder adults, a lot of kids, not a lot of one-on-one time, and a high-stress lifestyle), he never would have broken that cycle of putting his own emotional and mental health at risk to make sure other people wanted him and kept him around. with jem and tessa, who have, by comparison, a calmer lifestyle and are more mature, kit will have the time and space to learn to set boundaries and keep them, while also learning that people who really love him will love him not despite but for those boundaries. he will learn that people who love him will not only tolerate him putting his emotional and mental wellbeing before most things, but will join him in prioritizing himself. kit finally put himself first and that is definitely not something that he needs to apologize for.
