thinking about the beeduo “argument” again and I already wrote this out and then I went to double check something and when I came back tumblr refreshed and deleted it I’m.... (so it shouldn’t have sent but sorry if it did for some reason and u have two of these?)

so anyway my point was was that the communication for the first half of their convo was actually pretty good! Ranboo was constantly making sure that tubbo was okay with the conflict. tubbo asked the questions that were weighing on him (trusting wilbur + hiding their marriage), ranboo answered honestly, and tubbo assured him that he understood where he was coming from even if wrt to trusting wilbur he personally couldn’t put himself in that situation.

not that he could really do anything about this but if ranboo didn’t go into the conversation already anxious and stressed, they probably could’ve even solved the cookie outpost argument straight away. but because he was already upset, he misinterpreted what tubbo was saying to be worse than what he meant which obviously didn’t help him when he was already breaking down lol.

so their communication is pretty good they just need to be more emotionally honest with each other which hopefully this arc will push them towards. also last thing because I feel like it’s cut out a lot: when ranboo asked if his life wasn’t good before, tubbo’s immediate response was “no no no no it was!” but then he started talking about L’Manburg. so from his pov he’s saying “no it was but it’s still missing what I had in L’Manburg” but from ranboo’s pov it kinda sounds like “no it was but not the parts with you lol”

anyway yes!!!! just because they had a misunderstanding during the conversation doesn’t mean they’re not one of the only dsmp couples to actually TALK ABOUT SHIT THAT WAS BOTHERING THEM…. like, they deserve a gold star just for that, just for trying in the first place, if nothing else

like clearly they both care about each other enough to have those kinds of serious discussions if they perceive something as wrong. the only issue there was that tubbo didn’t understand exactly why ranboo was upset, and ranboo was too insecure to explain it to him right away.

but that’s an honest mistake that could happen in any conversation— again, they get an A++ already for even having the conversation.

they care about each other so much. i know we’re all paranoid because of awesamponk and karlnapity and fundywastaken and the way every other relationship crashed and burned but— bee duo stuck together through betrayals and the fall of a nation. tubbo heard straight from ranboo’s mouth that he betrayed him and didn’t regret it and still went “well i respect that”.

i think everyone is underestimating tubbo’s sincere care for ranboo (and the fact that tubbo is literally raising their son but i won’t go into that one)

makes me really sad when i see a neat analysis of anything, and then the person doing the analyzing ends with something like “i doubt that was intentional, but it’s cool”

like, no!!!! you found a cool thing!!!! and authors LOVE doing cool things!!!! and even if the author didnt mean for it to be there, YOU have imbued the piece with that meaning, and that’s ALSO very powerful!!!!
