I get what you’re saying. Although biting someone is very different than kissing someone, depending on the virus/infection. Think of it as HIV, in a very loose sense. A kiss wouldn’t infect you. Coming into contact with their blood would infect you. Ellie has bitten people, but people haven’t bitten her. If they have they haven’t lived long enough to find out the consequences or lack thereof.

Also, if I’ve done my research correct(might not have. I’ll admit) a row boat would take maybe ten-twenty hours to get from Santa Barbara to Catalina island. Depending on speed, weather conditions, etc. It takes roughly two days to become a runner. So, by the time they arrived Abby still would’ve most likely been herself.

While, I do think it’s plausible, I don’t think it would be something that would actually happen. Not in the beginning at least. Infecting Abby wouldn’t make for much of a third game, if a game at all. Unless the cycle of violence and revenge would continue through Lev.

if abby bit off ellie’s fingers do you think she’s infected now? obviously ellie isn’t, but i would assume the virus still spreads throughout her body but just doesn’t take hold. so if abby were to bite ellie so soon after ellie was bit by infected i feel like it’s plausible for her to become infected herself. i hope not since that’s the loml and her and lev need each other but naughty dog hates us so
