I cannot… I have no words… The theft.. I just can’t… We artists already have it rough enough as is… we don’t need AI competition to steal our jobs or hobbies away. Ever since this has come light … Ive thought about no longer sharing my art. Ive asked myself whats the point now? Most artists deal with depression and anxiety… this will definitely not help! This breaks my heart. We work so hard creating… for what? To have our things either copied, traced or fed into AIs now… 😓😓 lets just say this has not helped. Sorry for the rambling this whole thing has hit a cord with me and is making rethinks the way I share my art with the world…. Say no to AI apps/artwork! A lot of my fellow artists have had their art stolen and fed into their programs without their consent and/or compensation! I do not support AI apps and programs! I do not support AI art being sold. i find it ironic that you would say you’d only draw gwynriel if they became canon yet you drew tarquin and gwyn and said you’d draw vassa and lucien. im not saying you should draw gwynriel but just admit you dont want to draw them because you ship elriel.

These are going to be the first and last rude comments I respond to on this blog. After this I will be turning anonymous asks off permanently due to the fact that I simply do not need the negativity. If you would like to further discuss this topic, either come off of anon or message me.

Let me make this as clear as possible.

I drew Gwyn and Tarquin because I ship them. I will draw Vassa and Lucien because I ship them. I often draw Elain and Azriel because I ship them.

I currently do not ship Gwyn and Azriel. That is why I have not drawn them. I thought this was pretty clear. I do not hate the ship. I do not hate the characters. I simply do not ship them, and that is okay. If, in the future, Gwyn and Azriel become canon, I’m sure the author will get me on board with the ship. I’m sure she will make me love them together. Thus, I will draw them. But I have no plans to do that as of right now. Because I do not ship them, and that is okay.

I do not owe anyone anything. I am literally just a person who likes to draw book characters. That’s it. I do this because I like it and I like making others happy. What I do not like is whenever people are rude or act like I, as an artist, owe it to them to draw something. This is my account, I will draw whatever I want.

I started this account in February of this year. In 4 months I have dealt with more hatred than I have in my entire life. I never realized people could be so cruel over fictional characters. People regularly leave cruel comments on my art. People have told me to kill myself. People have written essays about me as a person, someone they have never met nor even had a conversation with, because of what I choose to draw. Sometimes I get so sick and overwhelmed I will just lay in bed all day. And I only started this account 4 months ago. I only have 1.5k followers on Instagram. I cannot even begin to imagine what larger accounts deal with.

I’m just tired. I am so tired of the negativity. I am so tired of people acting like I am some horrible person because of what I draw. I am so tired of people making horrible assumptions about my character. I am literally just a person who likes drawing and sharing my art.

I really do not know what else to add to this. I doubt anyone will even care. I’m just tired of everything. I am going to keep drawing whatever I want. If anyone doesn’t like it, just keep scrolling.
