“Every one of us is tested in different ways. For some of us, it might be the excess of wealth, for others, the lack of wealth. For some, it might be in the avoidance of alcohol, for other, guarding one’s tongue from speaking evil. Never feel superior to someone struggling with one test, because for sure, you are struggling with another.”
— Yasir Qadhi

Shaykh ul-Islām ibn Taymiyyah [رحمه الله] said:
“Every person who holds himself to account due to his sins, [who] hates his sins, tries to remove them from himself and abandons them for Allāh’s sake, [then he] shall increase in integrity, piety, righteousness and forbearance.”
Majmū al-Fatāwa Ibn Taymiyyah, 10/767
The word ‘Taqwa’ means abstaining from Allāh's prohibitions

Gentle reminder to read Surah Mulk tonight 💫
- Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There is a chapter in the Quran of thirty verses, which will intercede for its companion until he is forgiven: Blessed is He in whose Hand is the dominion.” (67:1)
(Source: Sunan Abī Dāwūd 1400.)
- It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood said: Whoever reads Tabaarak allaahi bi yadihi’l-mulk [i.e., Soorat al-Mulk] every night, Allaah will protect him from the torment of the grave. At the time of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) we used to call it al-maani’ah (that which protects). In the Book of Allaah it is a soorah which, whoever recites it every night has done very well.
(Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 6/179; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb, 1475.)
