Bella is not having a good day.

Jake isn’t taking her calls. She hasn’t seen him in almost two weeks, since the night they went to the movies with Mike and they all got sick. When she called today, Billy told her that Jake is better, but is out with his friends.

Jake’s decided not to waste his time on her, Bella thinks.

She sets off on her own and somehow manages to find the meadow:

It’s still beautiful, long grasses swaying in the breeze, but it’s empty, empty of everything that once made it truly beautiful to her.

She’s glad she’s alone… until suddenly she isn’t.

First there’s Laurent, who doesn’t see the need to be careful with his diet when away from home. (Though really, wouldn’t Irina notice that his eyes are red every time he returns home from being away? Not like it’s easy to hide cheating on that diet!)

And then there are the giant wolves.

Five giant wolves.

Bella thinks death by vampire (or at least death by Laurent) would be better than death by giant wolves.

Poor girl. Twilight starts with “I never thought much about how I would die.” New Moon should start with “I spend so much time thinking about how I could die, and hoping I end up with the least painful one.”

(And really, the bit where she goes to bed that night and has a panic attack because there is literally nothing she can do to protect herself or her father from Victoria… I feel so bad for her. And that’s what irritates me when people mock her for being so weak and helpless– there is no human on the planet that is mentally or physically strong enough to defeat or escape from a SM vampire. The only thing she can do to protect her father is to encourage him to stay away from her. There’s nothing she can do to protect herself.)

I read the Twilight books about 10 years ago now, so my memory is fuzzy at best, but Edward was okay with Jacob getting Bella pregnant if she aborted the vampire baby, right? And he called Jacob's potential babies "puppies," right??

It's sad that we never got to see Mr electric or Max in the new Sharkboy and Lavagirl Movie

Max I can understand why they didn’t show him since it’s about the heroics. If I remember correctly his powers didn’t work on Earth so he’d be a bust……however! Mr. Electric should’ve definitely been at least mentioned with sharkboy and lavagirl being there. Honestly he’s as iconic as them buuuut they didn’t want to give us that big head of his in 4K 🙄
