There’s a lack of Soap/Black! Fem! Reader and I’m gonna (try to) fix that. So I give you Soap helping reader on Wash Day:

Wash Day with Soap: (Soap x Black! Fem! Reader)

It was Wash Day and quite frankly you were looking forward to it. Something about washing your black curls was magical and brought joy. Maybe it’s because it was a time for you or simply because you love your natural hair

Johnny peeked into the bathroom laughed as he saw how your hair was a mess. The tight, black curls were sprouting out in different directions. You had spent the last couple of hours taking down your twists. As annoying as it was to sit in a chair for a couple of hours while your hair was twisted by a professional, you did love how you looked with them. But those twists weren’t looking so fresh as they did last month.

Turning your attention back to Johnny, you pointed towards the door. The man lifted his hands up and chuckled. “Okay, okay, I’m not going to say a word. But you want me to help? Promise I’ll be nice this time.”

“Said that last time. Simon still calls me a trolls doll.”

“The cutest trolls doll I’ve ever seen.”

Thump!

“Ow! Bon, what the hell!”

Once he had settled down, Johnny agreed to help with the task of washing your hair. You were bent over the bathroom sink with Johnny behind you. He had your head under the warm water as his nails scratched your scalp to get the shampoo down to your roots. You could feel your eyes flutter as the sensation was pleasing to your skin. Being tender headed was hell, but at least your boyfriend understands how sensitive your scalp was.

He tapped your shoulder once he seemed your hair to be properly washed. You stood up and took a towel to dry my hair some.

“How does it feel, bon? You look so cute with your hair all clean.” asked Johnny.

“Feels great. Wash day is so comforting. Now, can I trust you to not rip my hair off with the comb this time?” You shook your head. The cool air hit your head while you felt lighter than air.

Johnny nodded. He grabbed the hair clamps, comb, and brush then made his way to the couch. You followed along happily. You quietly laughed as the memories of being a little kid came rushing back. Sitting in between your mother’s legs as she took the comb and tackled that wild mess. As you sat in between Johnny’s legs, he took notice of your smile.

“What’s got you smiling?” he questioned.

“Just thinking about how even as an adult, I’m still sitting in between some legs and getting my hair done,” you leaned back and looked up. “Speaking of which, what are you gonna do to my lovely hair?”

Johnny rubbed his chin. “I was gonna ask you. But now that I have free reign—“

“I never said that. Lord, let me get my Afro puffs before you give me a shitty Mohawk like yours.”

“Hey! It is not that bad! And you would look divine with one!”

You turned around and gave the solider a look. You could see him look away with some red on his cheeks. Johnny shut up and began to part your hair.

After about twenty minutes of wrestling the hair tie to get it to stay, Johnny finished with your hair. He laid on the couch and groaned. “Fucking Christ, you’ve got a lot of hair.”

You turned and smirked before going to the mirror to look at yourself. You looked a lot better than when you started. You slipped a colorful headband over your head.

Johnny’s groaning became louder. Knowing what that meant, you walked over and cuddled with Johnny. He wrapped his muscular arms around you and hums.

“Your hair looks nice.”

“Thanks, my favorite person did it.”

Because my last post about this didn't get much traction, I'll say it in a text post.

There is an upcoming global strike for Palestine. February 18th to the 25th. Talk about Palestine and other injustices, call your representatives and email them, boycott companies and limit spending during the week. Get your grocery shopping in now and only buy essentials during the week, please. Limit interaction on posts other than injustices around the world. If you can, skip work or school, though this is a privilege not everyone has.

The IOF continues to steal the childhoods of countless Palestinian children. I've seen so many videos of very blatant symptoms of PTSD -seeing emotional and psychological responses to triggers from sudden sounds and movements. You can see stress and anxiousness and fear in their eyes -even when we see videos of them smiling/being hugged and comforted by journalists, doctors, and neighbors/relatives in their communities -they have been robbed -so many of them for decades now and continuously of just being able to be children -to be free from violence and oppression.

I have also seen videos of their entire lives being changed instantaneously with a debilitating injury or amputation due to their communities/hospitals/homes being air-striked, to losing their entire families and being orphaned. I've seen videos of them lifeless in their parents arms -something no parent SHOULD EVER have to record and share to get the world to fucking pay attention.

These are 'experiences,' and circumstances NO child should EVER have to face in their life. I'd say where the hell has UNICEF been -because aren't you supposed to be protecting children's rights ALL around the world? Are Palestinian children not worthy of protection? Over 10,000 of them have been MURDERED by the IOF.

Children shouldn't have to be worried about hearing BOMBS -they should be talking about their school lives, their friends, how excited they are to go to the beach, to try new foods at a restaurant they want to go to, to travel -to do so many wonderful things but THIS is what they have to live with right now even with glimpses of light and hope...

I will say this time and again -the United Nations is disgraceful.
