"My dear diary named 'Deli Cookie' (1997~) and sweet memories about the past" by Hajin Bae

This diary was created by my hand. I've made a spring using the wire. And I cut about 200 sheets of paper and punched spring hole. And I made the cover and cookie, it was created cut the back of Strathmore company's croquis sketchbook. And I've painted the logo with acrylic paints.  And one year later I wrote it the first page of the Deli Cookie that those days of me.

"Picture was all I have. Picture is the only thing that I can be happy." - 1998

Deli Cookie was became famous than me. My diary is been offered from a very famous publisher of books in Korea as a book. And it was exhibited along with works that  my first solo exhibition in Tokyo Japan in 2009.  Now She is 18 years old, And very sadly her sands are running out. Her body gradually weak even a small shock. So I stopped writing for her. So she fell into a deep sleep.

She is just my diary. But she had a life of its own. Then my past wrote was insignificant. But it was her life. So now I'm grateful for her. Because she is the only one person who understood that the days of me. 

Sometimes People are ask me this. "What is the meaning of your diary name?"

I answered. "Because I thought that everything is going to be sweet memories. Nevertheless even sad and painful memories. Someday If I look back it, I'll definitely feel the taste of very sweet cookies. So I gave her name 'Deli(delicious) Cookie, in 1997'"
