just having some random thoughts about love languages. we usually say that Simon &Baz show their love through 'acts of service' and I think that's mostly true. but then I also thought about how baz is so good with words, and how he says so many sweet, romantic things to simon. And simon in awtwb can't stop touching baz, and being physically affectionate.

~~but the really sad thing here is how they both used these languages to harm and wound each other in Carry On when they were convinced that they had to be enemies-- how baz used his words to cut simon down and belittle him. and simon used his fists to hurt baz and break his nose.

it hurts to think about the ways they were manipulated into harming each other w/ the very gifts that they should have used to love each other ~~ but now they've broken the cycle and they're finally free to love each other without violence

Top 10 SnowBaz fics

I was talking earlier about how 'What's Left' is one of my top 10, which it is. obviously that made me think.... what are the rest?

i think it's probably instinctively these, these ones that influence me the most/that i've re-read the most/that i most wish i could have written, although i had to delete some real favs to get down to 10, and limited myself to one fic per author. and excluded 'your bloodied mouth' as it ain't finished, but kept 'northern downpour' as i believe it will be.
