there are only three taylors that I expect to write/sing "in your Jehovah's Witness suit, who the fuck was that guy?" and it's debut tayor, speak now taylor and ttpd taylor
the thing about ttpd that amazes me is that this album is speaking to the swifties who have felt left behind the past weeks, who have always been here and paved the way but who felt a pit pushed to the side by a new demographic of swifties, a new demographic that has it's right to be here, but the album feels like coming home again
people say "taylor swifts music sounds all the same" meanwhile her fandom fights if the one with the big glasses or the one with the identical twin makes the better sound
so many people are like "every song sounds the same" but honey is this your first album release ever? this is always the case when we listen to a new album because how the fuck is your brain supposed to comprehend all these new songs within such a short time on the first listen, only the weak give up, you have to listen to it to get to know the songs, that's how it always is
I think another thing about the Kelce relationship I feel weird about is that people have pushed it as "the American dream" and the modern symbol of Americana and...I always see something suspicious in that. Not that they've given me any reason to I've just grown to be so mistrustful of stuff that's heralded as "a symbol of classic America" or whatever (I'm Canadian btw)
yeah absolutely, that isn't their fault but it's weird that people have made it that and that republicans try to use this narrative for their progapanda again. I hope some of the lyrics on ttpd scare them away lmao the album isn't perfect little miss america at all
Realistically I could never get rid of tumblr because it gives me the illusion of a community of strange young women all around my same age, all slowly figuring out how to live too
