What a bonkers reply. We wouldn't have domestic animals if we didn't eat them.
I have been a sheep caretaker for like two days and already I'm like. Wow. I get it.
I get why these were some of the earliest mammals to ever be domesticated. They look up to humans with this sort of dumb but all at once innocent and pure and trusting expression. They're happy to see you. They follow you around. They like to be rubbed under their chins. Maybe its just some latent Scottish highland shepherd DNA I still have in me but I look at my sheep charges and suddenly I see why the love of God for humanity is so often described as a shepherd and his sheep. I'd fight a wolf for these guys. I'd go way the Hell out of my way for them. I'd carry their young for miles on my own back.

New weird horse just dropped, folks.
A spotless giraffe was recently born at Bright’s Zoo in Limestone, TN and was just announced in the media this morning. They’re starting a public naming contest for her, of course.

I’d love to know what type of mutation causes this lack of of pattern, but I don’t know if we have genetics on that for giraffes the way we do other species. As far as is known, she’s the first spotless giraffe ever documented!

Video
https://twitter.com/100legs_NP/status/1623165297871171584 How can you not love everything about this mite? Its spiny little fat legs, its clockwork walk, its jelly candy transparency, what a flawlessly satisfying animal. I want it to be big enough to pick up like a kitchen sponge :( It’s so tiny, every time its body brushes the wet ground it wicks up a layer of water that changes its transparency. Ridiculous! It’s smaller than a sand grain but it is a whole animal with a brain and senses. You can see that it’s looking for something or other and it stops to clean itself! It felt dirty! It’s smaller than a grain of sand and it stopped what it was doing just to wash its hands!!!
Then at the end of the video is an even different guy who is equally good. I wish I lived in this tiny moist world so bad it makes me hate everything else. Everything else in the world is awful!!!!!!!

#i remember seeing this from the original artist on twitter#cant remember the name but it doesn't seem to be this account#gotta hate reposters#doesn't even include the original piece's description I love my haters. Here’s the source babies: https://www.reddit.com/r/ImaginaryHorrors/comments/qqb7ie/skeleton_recovered_from_the_le_lanchon/ Skeleton recovered from the Le Lanchon experiments on human evolution. In these tests, volunteers were subjected to procedures to "accelerate the development of mankind". No subject is recorded to have survived. Their crab-like form is an instance of carcinization. Pelagic red crabs are making themselves at home in their new exhibit! Also known as tuna crabs, these crimson crustaceans washed up en masse in Monterey Bay during the 2015 El Niño.
