Hey, I was just wondering if you have any desire to continue writing “some unholy key to perdition?” I can understand if you’re burnt out.
i’ve actually been thinking about that a lot lately. i was just going over my google docs for that fic to see if i could reasonably continue it, but with the way it’s structured i’m sorry to say i don’t have any desire to. it was very rooted in the plot of parts 1 and 2 which i don’t remember much of anymore. i had a color coded planning doc for suktp (which....lmao i love that for me), and the ideas/themes i had ready for it are still things that i want to explore!! like, there are more stories i want to tell about these characters. i just don’t think i want to tell them within some unholy key to perdition.
i’m not sure what that means for the fate of suktp. like if someone wants to pick it up i think that’d be cool, but it might just sit unfinished on ao3. as for being burnt out, i am 100% that. caos exhausts me, but it also makes me want to write something better for the characters i care about. like i’m really into the spellman family dynamics, so i’ve been planning out a fic about that lately. i’m so sorry to disappoint about some unholy key to perdition though. i appreciated everyone’s support on that fic so so much and am glad it resonated with people in the fandom <3

Thoughts On CAOS Part 4 From A Black Queer Woman
I have several complaints about Part 4 but this post will be about the poor choices the writers made surrounding Zarie, as well as Mambo Marie’s short existence in this universe and fandom. This is a pretty long rant, and I will probably lose followers after this, but I don’t really care. Especially since CAOS is over.
MAJOR PART 4 SPOILERS BENEATH THE CUT. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.

The fact that Miranda is vocal about being unable to finish watching the season hurts me on a spiritual level

CAOS really said let’s hire Michelle Gomez and Miranda Otto — two of the most accomplished actresses of our time — and completely disrespect them in our narratives and waste their talent huh

“She didn’t know what the woman wanted, didn’t know what she was looking for between Zelda’s legs, but she never seemed to find it because she always came back for more.”
THIS. THIS SENTENCE.
This has been floating in my goblin brain since some unholy key to perdition was first posted, and I’m very sorry but I just couldn’t NOT say that this is still my favourite fucking line I’ve ever read and every time I come across it again I’m overwhelmed with the physical feeling of just- ‘!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’ It’s just delicious and very much appreciated.
I do hope you’re doing well and life is treating you kindly ❤️
hi oh my god thank you so much. i’ve been staring at this for like 2 days thinking about how to reply because my own goblin brain doesn’t comprehend that people think about and perceive my writing!!! thanks for taking the time to say this so long after that story was posted. i’m so glad you liked that line i remember being proud of it
and i hope YOU’RE doing well despite everything going on (the dumpster fire of part 4 included) <3 <3 <3

okay but how does afterlife in caos work? because it seems incredibly inconsistent and I still don’t understand.
Diana and Tommy die and go to scary mortal limbo because they have unfinished business but Diana is able to move on to ~somewhere else~
Theo’s uncle dies and goes to hell (because.... he’s gay?)
Edward is not in hell? Which is odd since he was a witch who signed the book of the beast
Zelda dies and goes to pretty witch limbo
Sabrina Morningstar mentions that there’s too many souls in hell and they need to get rid of some but get rid of them WHERE?
When Sabrina Morningstar dies Lucifer and Caliban are unaware so she doesn’t go to hell
In p3 Sabrina mentions she doesn’t think she can go to heaven when talking to that one older man she was supposed to reap
Lilith kills baby Adam to keep him away from Lucifer so we can assume demon babies don’t go to hell
Lilith ALSO wants to kill herself or die to escape Lucifer so the assumption is she won’t be going to hell- where would she go????
Marie is supposed to go shepherd souls so is she in charged of where people go?
Sabrina Spellman goes to The Sweet Hereafter when she dies, which looks remarkably like the usual media portrayal of heaven (also like The Good Place from The Good Place). But she’s the antichrist? Also a witch who signed the book of the beast? I could understand if she was in heaven because she a) died a Hero’s Death b) was baptized Catholic or c) part celestial BUT
NICK IS NONE OF THESE THINGS. He died either in a freak/reckless accident or by suicide so why is he there?

Chilling Adventures of LGBTQ+ Representation - An Essay
From the moment I watched Part 1 of CAOS in 2018, I was hooked. I fell in love with the characters so quickly that I converted my entire tumblr blog and was dedicated to posting about the show. As the years have gone by I’ve acknowledged the show’s faults, as have many other fans, but for the most part I’ve tried not to think about it too hard.
I can’t not think about it anymore. As a young queer woman who has been queerbaited and misrepresented by media my ENTIRE life, I have many thoughts about the way Chilling Adventures of Sabrina handled their lgbtq+ representation throughout the four parts of the show.
I guess an essay has to have a thesis so here’s mine: The LGBTQ+ ‘representation’ in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is very harmful, if it can even be considered representation at all.
I am going to delve into not only ships, but also the way queerness is handled in general throughout the different tones and side stories of the show.
Am I at all qualified to analyze this? Well I’m not a professional but I am queer and I’ve had plenty of time to think about this over the last couple of years. We’re going to jump around a bit, so bear with me. Here are my thoughts.
Please Be Aware - anything below this break contains mentions of homophobia, religion based homophobia, and CAOS Part 4 Spoilers

i’m going to preface this by saying that i don’t think the writers were competent enough to think of this i think they just wanted an excuse to get sabrina drunk but i’d like to believe that the reason she was seated away from hilda and zelda at the wedding is because hilda knew how childish she was being and didn’t want her ruining the mood by seating her with the family

This article captures why Sabrina’s ending felt unearned. Her character arc (or non-arc) was annoyingly pointless. So many missed opportunities with this show’s last two seasons.
