B&R is legit one of my favorite stories, I love the characters, their diversity and depth to the characters. I get so gitty when I see the episode notification and I get to see my favorite mortal and demon! I want to never not see them but I also can't wait to see what you have planned for the end, I am on the edge of my seat every episode!

People are assholes, but I just wanna say that Bea being fat and Laz being ace mean the world to me personally. And you've done a beautiful job of presenting Bea as a complex and interesting woman, as well as clearly bisexual despite the central romance. I also know of a few teenagers who see themselves in B and R in a way they don't anywhere else, and it means so much to them they took the time to tell me about it, as an adult they trust to be open to queer identities. They're always so excited that I read it, too!

A reminder that bi people in m/f relationships are still bi and are part of the queer community! Same with ace and aro people!

It’s frustrating being a bi creator with a bi story featuring a m/f lead. It doesn’t make my story an “auto success” and doesn’t protect me from rate bombing and hateful, bigoted comments, whether it be biphobic or fatphobic, or just downright racist.

I hope my platform will make good on their word to give queer creators a safer platform to post on.

In the meantime, show your favorite queer creators writing queer stories some love! We need the support and love from our audiences to keep our series afloat.

Hi I just wanna say while others may disagree with Bea's actions I actually love it because it's just so -human-

Bea tends to react according to her emotions, we know this, and while yes she has had some growth 1. Growth isn't always linear and 2. Humans, when we're desperste enough, will block stuff out unintentionally in favour of reaching our goal

All of this is to say yes Bea's actions don't make sense but in the context of the story and how you established her character her actions do make sense at the same time? Does that make sense?

I appreciate it- it's def a "I need to shut up and log off" moment for me, but it's been very stressful cause I really wanna make sure S3 is a satisfying ending for everyone, lol.

I think expecting Bea to have a perfect reaction and for everything to go smoothly would be a bit bizarre given she's in Hell and, well, she did almost get eaten by a pack of demons upon just showing up.

Idk, obviously you can't please everyone, and it's good people are invested enough to have strong emotions, though!

Heya! I don't think I have any plus sized OC (or at least that I have art of) 🥲 but I have drawn that sort of body type here and there for commissions and stuff. An example I can think of is one I did for @speremint (old but still one of my faves from that batch tbh)

So in light of it being International Asexuality Day, I wanted to post a few panels from that time asexuality was discussing in Brimstone and Roses...

I remember when this episode came out, I was burned out and depressed as hell (the author's note is proof of that), but so relieved to finally be able to talk about asexuality and explore Laz's sexuality a little bit. It was just a very difficult thing to write for a multitude of reasons, but mainly I'm technically out to my family, really, about being Ace, and so discussing it on a large scale made me want to vomit.

I also wanted to try to keep the dialogue authentic and not a massive info dump, while playing up the fact that Bea is a big romantic.

She might not have been fully accurate with her discussion of asexuality, and I know a few people disliked that I didn't use the "right" terminology for explaining asexuality. I'm sorry. Regardless, it meant a lot to write this episode, and I appreciate the support and love it got, especially among my fellow aces.

Honestly, making this post still makes me anxious, and looking at the comments on that episode makes my heart race, but despite that, I'm still happy with this episode.

I'm sorry if I wasn't the most accurate, or if my definitions of asexuality stray from y'all's, but I was hoping the episode would be a launch-off pad for those who might resonate with Laz's confused feelings for people to do their own research, regardless of whether they believe they're asexual or otherwise, and I hope that it did help people with that.

Any shows/movies/books or comics you liked lately?

Uhhhh I have been listening to a lot of audio books! Some recent listenings have been a bunch of older Vampire stories! "The Vampyre", "Carmilla", and relistening to Dracula. Those have been an interesting listen! Books that I have read My Roomate is a Vampire by Jenna Levine, was a really cute story and I enjoyed that a lot! I also have been enjoying A Witches Guide to Fake Dating a Demon and A Demon's Guide to Wooing a Witch a series by Sarah Hawley, both books contain a lot of humor and they were a really fun read. ^^ )

I haven't seen too many new movies that have gotten my attention... I want to watch Renfeild eventually.

As for comics, hands down I wholeheartedly reccomend Brimestone and Roses by @speremint it's on Webtoons and both the art and writing is absolutely fantastic! 💖💖💖 The art is stunningly goregous and the characters who you can't help but love are lively and you are cheering for them the whole way. I have much love for this whole series. I was a bad kid when I first stumbled upon it and binged a whole season and a half and stayed up to the crack of dawn reading it. 🤣 Did I ruin my sleep schedule? Yes. Was it is worth it? Also yes!
