There were warm arms that felt like home were wrapped around your midsection as you leaned back into your lover’s embrace. There was a soft chuckle escaping out of Bruce’s lips as he peppers little kisses on your exposed shoulder from your oversize sweater.

“Aren’t you a little extra lovingly today Bruce?” You narrow your eyes suspiciously at those icy blue eyes. You were skeptical—the infamous Bruce Wayne was a little loving. Don’t get me wrong, but you love—and I mean you loved when the stoic man gets outside of his comfort zone and gives you unexpected moments of attention. But right now, it was very suspicious of him to do so, especially outside of public where paparazzi can see the both of you right now. Yet you hummed as he nuzzled his face into your neck, as Bruce gently nibbles at your skin.

“What? I can’t show you how much I love you? Would you prefer to have me stop and leave you alone?” Bruce teases, a smug smirk crawls up upon his face as he senses the glare you sent towards him with your pouty lips. You’ve always looked like a kicked puppy to him no matter how serious the situation may be.

“I-I didn’t mean it to say that”

“Hmm but you did, did you not?”

You rolled your eyes playfully as Bruce sighs dramatically. Bruce’s threats were empty, they were nothing but playful banter only the two of you would’ve to understand. His calloused hands remain on the hem of your sweater. You shook your head at the billionaire’s childish antics, but the large grin on your face says otherwise. Out of the corner of your eyes, you see the kids bullying playing with each other and paparazzi left and right even when they try so hard to be subtle about taking pictures of the Wayne family.

‘Just this once’ as you thought when you see the paparazzi tries to find anything interesting in your family. You almost felt bad for trying to find good drama nowadays, especially on calm days during the summer. Almost. But you caved in as Bruce started once again peppering kisses on your exposed shoulder.

In his tight hold of a warm embrace, you shifted in your position and turning to face your husband. Wrapping your arms around his neck, you pulled Bruce into a loving kiss. You felt Bruce’s posture slacken as he relaxes into the kiss. His relaxed hands nestle at the gap of your back, seemingly calm as he ignores the sounds of cameras clicking and children faked gagging noises. Pulling away, you bring a hand to Bruce’s scarred hand.

“You just wanted me to cave in so you watch as the internet has drama and fight with fire, didn’t you?”

“Maybe…”
