While everything is happening with jaskier and geralt in the two latest posts, how is Ciri holding up? Did geralt think that his deal with evil husband could fall on her as well, even just as a casualty?
How did Ciri hold up, hmm...
Jaskier is trying to be comforting, but he also doesn't have it in him to lie anymore. Still, they got her, even if the sadness and heaviness stays with her.
And for the danger she is in? I think there is some kind of unspoken agreement between Jaskier and Geralt, that they made one night, while Ciri was sleeping between them; if hubby is trying to hurt her? To truly make her suffer? He is dead. He is simply dead on the spot. That's the line in the sand, all repercussions aside.
(Geralt is off doing things that night; riding out to get a message sent? Or is it the bad thing yet? Hmmm)

undercover at lettenhove prompt: geralt and ciri having a soft moment outside (yay, fluff!) while injured jaskier is watching from above (boo! sad!) ?
Yessss. Jaskier is still supposed to be in bed, but. He heard them laugh. (It's good that they have their happy moments, that's why he keeps doing this. But it also makes him... sad.)

Thinking back, this is the first time I truely drew Jaskier in this AU, not Julian.
(Also I got all your prompts and I love them.)

I'm in the mood for (fluffy? devastatingly sad?) prompts for the Undercover at Lettenhove Au! I mean I do take others too, but those would be *chef's kiss*

Geralt told Jaskier!! in this household we don't believe in conflict that could be solved by simply talking with each other
I'm pretty sure part of Geralt didn't want to tell Jaskier, he wanted to spare him (which all of that was about). But he's also...
Jaskier may be better in scheming on the grand scale, but Geralt is the one who really gets tactic and strategy, even if this is a battle without swords. If they can't trust each other, they're going down.
If they don't know what the other is doing, they open themselves up for manipulation, they need to be a unit, and they need to have each others backs.
Jaskier is still very, very angry, once he isn't too tired to express it.

Okay but I'm gonna ask what I think many people are wondering about.
Why not just kill the husband? Is he that important? Wouldn't Jaskier get the "widow-rights" and like his money/power/whatever it is? Because I'm pretty sure none of the staff would say anything if the husband suddenly falls ill/has an accident.
I've been asked this a few times, but I was never sure what to answer, because the story is not 100% solidly planned out when it comes to that. (and if @panur wouldn't be so lovely and talk to me about this 'verse, there would be even less background story)
What I'm sure about is that much of what we see? With all the scheming and the politics on the bigger scale? That is not Jaskier alone. Honestly, he just wants his peace.
The one who is really pulling the strings in the background is Dijkstra. (Geralt is so gonna break both his legs, if he ever finds out to what extend Dijkstra knew... things might happen.)
It's a mix of things going on in the background, with Nilfgaard approaching and Jaskiers husband being more of a Nilfgaard sympathizer (who knows, maybe he is part of the aristocracy associated with the Nilfgaardian Military Intelligence?? Being able to feed him false information could be valuable + finding all the allies) - but that would be nothing Jaskier really cares about.
I also think that Jaskiers husband has some 'friends' and Lettenhove is not known for it's strong defenses. As long as they're alive, it's very dangerous; not for him per se, but for the people who live there - there would be retaliatory attacks. (That being said, it's not like Jaskier is twiddling his thumbs. He waits everyday for news, that hubbys buddies mysteriously fell ill, so he can let Geralt loose. Maybe it's Dijkstra who promised to help him with that. In the worst scenario, he actually takes his time with that and is not as fast as he could be, because he's still trying to get all of them-)

Hey could you explain what wounds Jaskier had exactly in the last page?
Oh welp, okay. Under a read more, because heavy topic:
The one wound on his back that got infected was a bite wound he got from his husband - bite wounds tend to heal terribly and the risk for infection is very high. For animal bites the risk of infection after a bite is 10-20%. (Dtsch Arztebl Int.2015 Jun 19;112(25):433-42)
The other thing Jaskier had was a perianal haematoma - which can be caused by (rough) anal sex, but is also common during pregnancy, in the elderly, or your risk increases if you're on birth control.
It's actually not that uncommon - especially after labour (and still better than a teared perineum - pushing a tiny person out of your vagina really sounds like NO FUN at all).
The tissue around the anus is quite fragile, so it's not that unusual that something ruptures and bleeds in - but not to be confused with haemorrhoids.
You can open it up (surgically) so the blood can flow out, but if it's not too bad and the pain is managable it goes away on it's own, like a normal bruise.

Hello, I absolutely adore your artwork, and I think you are one of the most talented fan-artists I've ever encountered. I was wondering if you could give me a list of the tags for the lettenhove!au artwork? I respect the story that you are telling, I just need to pace myself as I read through it! Hope that's not too much bother, thank you and sorry if I offend.
Ah, thank you very much, oh wow! If I understood you correctly you want the tag you can use to blacklist the story? That would be 'undercover at lettenhove au' - every post is tagged like that and I understand that it's sometimes A LOT, so no worries!
If this is about the warnings that apply to the story, they're included in the tags on the masterpost.

Jaskier is pretty spooked, but together they get through that. (I have the next page sketched out, but it's... a lot.)

There comes Ciri, with the big guns. Geralt has tried to get Jaskier to a healer for a few days, but he was very reluctant about it - and Geralt... He's too guilt stricken to really push Jaskier to do something he doesn't want to, even though he made clear that there are limits to what he is willing to watch.
(And Ciri isn't responsible, of course she is not, but she feels that way.)

There we are, back again with Jaskier, still feeling ill. (He has really the worst possible winter of all.) Also, as Jaskier has mentioned before, he has siblings! That they're not at the estate was a deliberate choice on his side.

Okay so here is the thing.
@spielzeugkaiser always draws such lovely bear!jaskier art.
And one afternoon we talked about how Geralt would appreciate this massive witcher companion of his ~<3.
Then I felt bad about poor Jaskiers eye and needed to give them both some respite and well deserved rest .
I may have a thing for hurt and comfort these times.
On that note, my wrist really hated me for this XD . Don't go and tell my surgeon that I am drawing again already 😅. Psshhhh
Poor Geralt is almost hidden behind Jaskier. Don't wake him. He is comfortable right now.

for fem!Geralt: Another party, another dress, but this one requires a corset. Jaskier turning around in something silky and lacey like "Could you help lace me up, darling?" and geralt like "I SURE HOPE THIS DOESN'T AWAKEN ANYTHING IN ME" (insert screeching audible only to witchers and higher vampires)
Fem!Geralt my beloved!! She never wears the dresses, but somehow they keep coming. Suspicious...

What /exactly/ happened to Jaskier's eye? Was it cut? Scratched? How did he get the blow for Ciri?
I'm not completely sure about it, because I didn't plan that out in detail. It was a knife (which means deeper, but also a cleaner wound), and it was Ciri who got in an argument with Arnaghad (maybe it was about Jaskiers treatment? Maybe he said something to her and she reacted snappish? I think Ciri feels a bit claustrophobic and the emotions run very high after a few weeks of this - so she has a very short fuse too)
Since Arnaghad wanted to give that brat a lesson and Jaskier knows what that means, he got inbetween and it escalated. He saw the blade coming, so it wasn't too bad, but. I think he might have just. grabbed Ciri and tried to get out. Which made Arnaghad even angrier, but keeps saving his life too, because he is faster and eventually the situation deescalates.

Does jask get to embroider pretty patterns on the bears clothes? Or is it too much?
It's a bit on the too much side because it's... something nice.
Also his eye is still healing here. He has not lost it, maybe a bit of eyesight, but honestly: he was lucky! The scar will stay tho.

Do the bear witchers have names?? *is not asking because needs more slowly becoming family/pack stuff*
Two of them have!
Both Gerd and Arnaghad are part of the witcher 3 (like. I think they're mentioned if you look for the gear? Them, Junod and Ivo, but so far they're not included here.)
The other two are Gwent Cards and I always try to get around mentioning them by name, oopsie.
