steadily adding to the fantasy au crew ! familiars are a sub-group of regular animals (typically solid black, often crows and cats, however they can be any animal) that are imbued with magical energy, however they remain as animals until chosen by a witch, in which case the witch can then give them their human form. the familiar has the option to change between both their animal and their human form, both of which allowing them to provide the witch with mana and support for more difficult spells. in return, the witch is expected to look after their familiar and keep them safe

Okay so this isn’t necessarily how I want Ghosts to end, and I definitely don’t think this is how it actually will end… but it’s one possible ending that occurred to me and made me weirdly emotional so now I have to make you all think about it too haha.

What if Alison is pregnant at some point in the 5th series, and the end is her giving birth. Not graphic, obviously, but the audience knows it’s happening. And there’s some complication, she doesn’t die, but she again nearly-dies/is in a short coma. When she wakes up (not sure if the birth takes place at the house or in a hospital in this scenario, could be done either way I suppose). But in any case, after that she has her beautiful, perfectly healthy new baby, but she cannot see the Ghosts anymore due to the second near death experience she just endured. Sort of a nice representation of new life vs death, but then they don’t necessarily need to get ‘sucked off’ either so she could still kind of know/be aware that they’re there even if she can no longer interact with them. She can focus on her family and baby and Mike without losing them completely, and the Ghosts can all still have each other then, and are probably largely happy for her and happy just to get to watch the family continue to grow up. But it would provide a healthy separation and be symbolic and emotional at the same time 🥹

Idk like I know that’s a really cheesy ending and they’d never do that (and shouldn’t) but it was on my mind so I thought I’d share it. ❤️👻
