A small note about the name Hajime, since it seems to be a hot topic right now…

Yes, it means “beginnings” (as well as a few other similar things, depending on the kanji). But please note that it’s actually written in hiragana. This is fairly common for female names, but almost unheard of for male names. (Hiragana is considered “softer” and a little more open-ended in terms of meaning.)

Who else do we know with a name uncommon for their gender?

It's kind of ironic that the guy who was going to have Fuu's fingers chopped off by his cronies ended up having his own fingers snapped like twigs. Poetic justice right there. Think Mugen did it on purpose? xD

Well, I’ll make sure to add that later when I write my Fuu’s feelings for Mugen rant and revise both…and maybe even incorporate a flashback of this idea in my own samcham fanfic lol.

There is no fricking doubt in my mind that Mugen did it on purpose. Think about it…Mugen always mimics other fighting styles. That’s what makes him a chanpuru mash up while Jins style never changes.

He mimicked the Chinese style of Shoryu in ep 11.

He mimicked the men who who were bullying Sara for her blindness and how they’ll make her never play the shamisen again by squishing the goon’s mouth and saying he’ll never let him speak again.

He mimicked Sara by moving with the rain, and feeling around like a fish in the river.

He mimicked Umanousuke by killing him with the momentum of his own chain scythe.

Of course he broke the guy’s fingers because Fuu was about to get her own fingers cut off. XD It makes perfect sense! God, Mugen is such a chivalrous asshole XD

2) Actually, I HAVE made Fuugen kids! For a while now (probably since last year in December) I’ve been working on their kids, a boy and a girl. I haven’t posted them because I’m not yet satisfied with how they look, but I can sorta post the latest sketches and just very small info to show you how it’s going. Lin helped me a lot with these!! especially on naming them. Please forgive the horrible photos, I still need a scanner. :’‘(

This is Hachi, the oldest by four years. Her animal motif is the bee. Coincidentally “hachi” also means bee, though yes, it does mean the number eight, which is appropriate as it is a sideways infinity sign.

The younger brother is named Tori, he’s an artist and has been deaf since birth. Mugen searched far and wide soon after he was born for a rare teacher of sign language, and now his whole family knows it and can communicate with him smoothly. Should be obvious but his animal motif is the crow. He has two crow companions that I have yet to name. Combined with his sister’s name, their two names together create the word “hummingbird.” That and their normal animal motifs are all animals that feed off the sunflower. :)

so.. i just heard from my brother that my mom doesn’t like that i dye my hair..

so she was pretending all this time? i mean, she even helped me dye it! she told me it made me look more cheerful, she friggin’ motivated me..

I'm seriously considering getting a tattoo of my (oldest) dog.

Lately I've been more aware of her age. She's 10 and I believe she'll live for quite a few more years, but.. she'll be gone someday, as much as I wish she wouldn't. And if I'm going to honor her I'd rather do it while she's alive and well.

I don't like tattoos of portraits because I always think they aren't good enough, but I was browsing through tumblr and found quite a few cool ones that are along the lines of what I'd like to get, at least in quality. I don't really know about the design yet.

Oh, and my mom hates tattoos, but what the heck. It's my body. She'll have to get over it.

HERES a thing - the smallest frog in the world is the Paedophryne amauensis. it lives in papau new guinea, grows up to 7.7 mm long, and was discovered in 2009 when reasearchers, after tracing the frogs then unexplained insect-like call, scooped a bunch of wet leaves off the ground in a clear plastic bag and saw it hopping around inside
