Does anyone else remember that specific niche of oneshot fanfictions where Tony Stark and the Avengers all knew each other but the Avengers all still thought of Tony as a stuck up jerk until some form of Tony whump (usually doing with the arc reactor) happened that forced them all to realize he wasn't? Just me?? Also??? Where can I find them again?? Thank you.

Dropping the latest Patreon Sketch-a-Wish for May! The opening scene for The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, featuring Cinder, Kai, Iko (who is basically an EVE/Wall-E love-child), an unconscious Nainsi and a bunch of easter egg items, as requested in our poll. (can you point them out?)

This was definitely one where the background itself was its own character; There’s so much happening here and it’s very nuanced to the context of the scene. I think those who aren’t familiar with the book will have a hard time figuring out what’s happening here - but seriously, caption this artwork: “Doting dad drops off his two android kids at day camp where the youngest has already stolen the cyborg foot off of the caretaker.” … and it still works. 😂

In order to fish for Easter Egg items, I re-listed to the Lunar Chronicles for the first time since I first read them a few years back; they were my gateway series into the bookish community and I absolutely fell in love with it all over again! I have Gilded on my TBR shortlist, and just recently listed to Heartless last month. I’m definitely on a Meyer bender, with the fabulous Rebecca Soler (the narrator) to keep me company!

So, a few things

i was just traumatized (i’m not being sarcastic, this is a serious post) by this fic

don’t click on the link yet, or at all, because I guaruntee you that you aren’t ready for it and MAJOR TW. just keep reading, unless you will be triggered by mentions of rape, murder, and homophobia.

This author (liz_pare on ao3) has written this fic (and multiple others like it) about heartstopper characters. (TW!!!) Specifically, about heartstopper protragonist Charlie Spring raping and murdering protagonist Nick Nelson (in an extremely disturbing way). And this is… fine. The characters are minors, as were the actors at the time of filming, so I personally find it disgusting and horrifying, but like, you know, some people are crazy. There’s nothing I can do but keep scrolling.

Here’s my problem. Not to say I don’t have problems with the fic itself. I do. I just genuinely don’t want to talk about it.

My problem starts with the fic’s description/summary (TW!!!!): “I fuckin hate these faggots”. It was this summary that made me click on the fic at all, because I wanted to see if this person was serious or if they just had a fucked sense of humor. Honestly, I’m still not sure which, and it doesn’t even matter, because either way, this author goes too far. They have been so terrible that it’s not ignorable. I can’t just scroll past it.

And then, there are the comments. Thankfully, 99.99999% of them are all people having this same reaction. Unfortunately, liz_pare is also in the comments (TW) hurling slurs such as “tranny”, “fags”, and more, as well as just also general insults. They claim that mlm being raped makes them horny, which is… look, I’m sorry to those of y’all who think differently, but that’s fucked. Gay people being raped should NEVER be sexual. Not to mention a few death threats they’ve hurled at commentors.

All of this to say that, the world is terrible and it’s genuinely terrifying to be so caught off guard by something while just trying to relax. This shouldn’t happen. Look, yeah, free speech, I get it. It’s public website, which means nobody can do anything about it. But I’m just gonna say it: things like this should not be allowed to be published. It’s fucked.

it’s just so scary to be caught off guard by the fact that there are really people who hate me, hate the lgbtq community so much, that they could write something like this. Even if it’s just a troll; and honestly, if they’re a troll, that’s even worse because then they are acting like this, hurting all these people (me included) on purpose. It’s evil. It’s vile.

While we’re on the topic, here is a link for instructions on how to block fics, tags, and authors on ao3, since you can’t report people on it.

Stay safe out there guys. I know this post was a mess. Honestly, it probably didn’t need to be written. I didn’t really say anything. I just needed to get some stuff off my chest.

ok I'm not finished angsting over that last gifset actually because arthur definitely thought that there was something going on between morgana and merlin, or at the very least he thought that merlin had some sort of affection for morgana. i wonder if he ever saw himself and gwen, and felt guilty and responsible for drawing morgana and merlin away from each other.

because the only thing arthur knows is that morgana just turned evil one day without his knowledge. i wonder if he ever had the thought that perhaps if things had progressed between her and merlin, the situation would have been different. that maybe he'd stopped one of the only things that would have prevented morgana from attacking camelot.

i wonder what he thought when he saw merlin say "i blame myself for what you've become" as he killed her
