OC Askbox Game
I'm avoiding writing and you probably are too, so let's at least think about our characters while we do it.
You know the drill- send me a number (ONE number, you can come back for more) and I'll answer for an OC of your choice (if you know their name) or my choice (if you don't know their name). Feel free to name some of your OCs in the tags of your reblog, if you want to be asked about them.
How did you choose their name?
Were they created for the story, or was the story created for them?
Do they have a love interest, and was that their choice or yours?
Do they have a best friend? If so, how did they meet? If not, have they ever/why never?
Did they have a pet as a child?
What catalyzed their introduction to the plot?
What attribute of them (some facet of their personality, their history, their look, or whatever etc) would you find most important to somehow preserve if they were transplanted to an AU fanfic?
If your character's financial situation were to suddenly flip (someone poor becoming rich, someone rich becoming poor, etc), how well would they handle it? What would be the first thing they would do?
If your character could have handed their role in the plot to someone else, would they have?
Free Space #1: Which of your OCs would be most likely to survive a zombie apocalypse? Which would die immediately?
Does your character have a pet peeve?
Has your character committed any crimes (per their universe's laws)? If not, which crime would your character most likely commit?
Who is your character's closest (by relation, fondness, or distance) blood relative?
How does your character feel about riding horses (or your world's closest approximation of a horse if it lacks horses)?
Is your character's first instinct fight or flight? Is there something that could force them to do the opposite?
What is your character's favorite leisure activity?
Is your character holding any grudges? Are they likely to stop?
If your character were trapped on a deserted island, what three things would they want to have with them? Which person would they absolutely hate to be trapped there with? Which person would they enjoy being trapped there with?
Does your character having any health issues, whether they're aware of them or not?
Free Space #2: Which of your OCs would you most like to meet in person, if they could become real (or you could visit them) for a day?
Final Question: Ask me your own question about my OC
Remember: play nice! Send an ask to the person you reblogged this from, and try to send a few to folks that reblog from you!

Your MHA D&D character sheet is so awesome!! But jsyk, there's a minor typo: you're missing an L in the word "intelligence" in the stat block area. Your layout and everything else is beautiful though!
Pft, omg, I posted that so long ago, I can't believe no one has said anything until now! XD
If I can find the original files I'll upload a fix!
Thank you so much for the compliment though! I wish I could have finished the system I was building for it, but I'm just happy some people have found use for it in their own home games! <3

you are personally and directly hit by a bus¹ and isekai-ed, via resurrection, into the body of the main character your most recent WIP
reblog and tell me: on a scale of 1–10, how screwed are you right now?
¹ this is, transparently, a plot device, so if you are about to tell me "joke's on you, I never leave my fifteenth floor apartment!" then you may rest assured it will have tremendous comedic value when the bus is launched into the sky and crashes through your apartment wall to flatten you anyway

Character portrait WIP for the MC of the novel I'm not writing (I am outlining it, however ;) ).
Elijah Faks (pronounced like "facts" in the city, like "fox" in the country) is a powerful mage, and begrudgingly runs the Royal Archives. He sees his station more like a prison, having been put there by Charles Mercer, a man he wiped his mind to hide his research from.
Elijah is paranoid and single-minded in his pursuit of knowledge, believing that what he'd erased will be the key to getting out from under Mercer's thumb, but if anyone else learns it, it will be found by Mercer. He has a lot of anxiety involving research, an activity he used to enjoy, knowing that everything he learns could become a weapon for someone else. He also experiences nightmares featuring a sound that he can only describe as ripping metal.
In addition to his research he also enjoys riding horses, something he is quite good at, and he hopes he will get to do again once he's able to leave the tower he is all but locked in.
As always I am accepting asks.

Some original characters for a project that's been eating away at my brain cells lately. Might fuck around and write a book about them.
Left to right; Audrey Beaughin, Elijah Faks, and Rainier Ward.
I'm calling the project Unthreaded. It's set in a world that is high-magic 1900-1920 America/Europe inspired, with a lot of the conveniences of the time period centered around magic.
The world of Ruvan is covered in magical wells called Seams that people can draw magic from. Most people develop an affinity, and physically adapt, to certain types of magic, like Audrey's ability to cast spells related to tracking, and Rainier's ability to obfuscate himself from any sense. Then some people, like Elijah, have a greater potential for magic that leads to a wider range of abilities and has the draw back of not adapting physically to anything.
A lot of power, but with drawbacks.
Elijah was researching the true magical potential of people like him for someone he later discovered was dangerous. So, he erased all traces of his research from existence, including from his memory, and Audrey's. This leads to them falling out, or breaking up, rather. But, when Audrey stumbles upon a clue left behind, they have to work together, with the assassin Rainier, and race to recover the research and figure out whether they need to destroy it once again, or if they can use it to oust those in power that would use it to declare war on neighboring kingdoms and claim their Seams.
Elijah is a bi/ace librarian, and a horse girl. He favors telekinetic magic and views casting like sewing, or knitting, since his mother is a seamstress (hence the sewing theme I'm going for).
Audrey is a bi hunter with dark, slitted eyes that open wide when she casts spells related to tracking. Specifically she can make herself able to see magic, either on a person like an aura, or on the land, where people/ animals have left marks in it.
Rainier is a bi assassin who can cast spells on himself or others to make them invisible/silent/scentless/tasteless/and even dampen their physical presence. His skin goes from a natural dark to almost pure black along his extremities and his palms and feet are soft and sensitive.
I am open to questions or general interaction with this project. Anything to keep myself motivated. Feel free to send asks!

I'm just gonna bring this piece of art back. I can't believe I did this four years ago. There are some things I would fix if I was working on it today, but it is legit so solid.

Imagine you’re up to no good, and then your quirk stops working. You look around, only to catch sight of this and then suddenly you’re on the ground being arrested!
Edit: Don’t mind me, just reuploading now that I’ve fixed the GAPING HOLE in the SKY!

The last member of Mim's party, a tiefling named Akuji. She and Saioran are dating and are adorable. Akuji is very motherly, despite, or maybe because of her traumatic upbringing and the face-eating demon that lives inside of her. She goes out of her way to be nice, but I don't know that she's figured out "good" yet, and will not hesitate to give in to the demon to protect her friends, to which all of her friends shout "no, stop, don't do that!"
Anyway, this took long enough to do, we'll see how good I am at keeping up with my other games and doing portraits for them. In the meantime if anyone has any D&D questions, either about the campaigns I'm in, the characters, or even just the game itself, hit me up, I'd like to get some interaction going, and I might be starting to make some youtube content for it too. ;)

Another character from my Monday night games. This is Saioran, a morally ambiguous half-elf shadow monk who just recently got over his amnesia with the help of magic drugs and a god-turtle?
Sairoan and Mim get along great because Sai is generally pretty chill, so he's Mim's go-to pal when Mim is feeling a little overwhelmed with things like emotions. He's also the one that Mim turns to when the other two party members are being... difficult.
Sai is dating the last remaining party member for me to draw. I've drawn her before, but I'm enjoying this kind of portrait series.
Once I've drawn her I will probably do portraits of my Wednesday Star Wars game characters (one of which was commissioned that I need to finish), and then my Tuesday game's PCs. That game is just starting back up with a new campaign soon, so I want to give people a chance to get into their new murder hobos before I tackle them in portrait form.

Friend's DnD character, a vampire paladin named Moiraine. She travels with Mim, who is very jealous of her mechanical prosthetic arm, which he helped acquire, replacing her old one which was mildly cursed (not 5e mechanics cursed, but possessed with the soul of a modron, so horrifying).
They don't understand each other perfectly well, she barely understands his signing and he doesn't understand most of her actions, but they get along very well as the two more straight-laced party members.

I'm just gonna start posting my DnD art here. KTHNX.
This is Mim, my Clockwork Soul Sorcerer. He's a reincarnated modron who is mute and made a bird-shaped music box (hence his name) out of his destroyed body for the vocal components of his spells.
He misses the hive mind, and is currently working on a way to build a new body and rejoin the collective, while trying not to let these confusing biological emotions take him over.
He's not this fancy yet, but he's getting there.

Am I really coming back from the dead to post half mostly naked MTG characters that I drew for my friend?
Yeeeeeah.
Sorry to anyone who followed me for any other fandom but the brain rot is real.
Listen, my head knows Gideon is dead, but in my heart he's getting railed nightly by a widowed mother of one who wields the power of Selune like a blunt instrument in the game I DM.
