Real authors: The bright, life-giving star drifted languidly below the horizon, as night’s blanket swaddled the earth in its comforting embrace.
Me: The sun set, and it got dark because it was nighttime.

Never has a video game ever made me hornier than the succubus scene in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Just finished the Nightsong arc in Baldur’s Gate 3 and all I want to do is give Shadowheart a hug.

« Each of them took to himself a Silmaril, for they said: 'Since one is lost to us, and but two remain, and we two alone of our brothers, so is it plain that fate would have us share the heirlooms of our father. »
- J. R. R. Tolkien, “The Silmarillion”.
Maedhros and Maglor, the last remaining sons of Feanor. The last attempt to reclaim the Silmarils. My heart is entirely with the First House of the Noldor, so this illustration is extremely important to me.

Really, though, Hamlet is the king of sass.
Claudius: Hamlet, where is Polonius?
Hamlet: In heaven. If your messenger find him not there, seek him in the other place yourself.
Translation: Go to hell, Claudius.

I’m rewatching The 10th Kingdom after some years, and realizing that Wolf has ruined all men for me. I mean all I want is someone to pine for me, shower me with compliments, and occasionally go all predator and push me up against a wall, threatening to devour me. Is that so much to ask?

It makes me sad when I see famous women who are both fat and beautiful lose a bunch of weight. I mean, if it's genuinely their choice, then good for them, I sincerely hope it makes them happy. But if it's the pressures of society and Hollywood and that bullshit, then it just makes me sad. I mean, as a fat woman who struggles with positive body image, those women were role models to me. Like, hey, if they can be fat and beautiful and confident, then maybe I can, too. But then they lose a bunch of weight and I think oh, ok, maybe not. Maybe I should feel bad about how I look, because apparently, they did. I don't know, maybe I'm out of line, I don't know their story. But like, if Lizzo suddenly lost a bunch of weight, I would probably be devastated.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating. This is one of the most beautifully acted scenes I've seen on television.
No dialogue. Just expression.
And yet so much is said.
I love these two so much.
