That strange feeling of longing when you are at a train station, in a 24/7 open market, when you are buying a coke from a vending machine, watching the city lights glow from your window, when you're walking aimlessly on a busy street after 5 pm, that feeling as if something is missing in your life and it will never come back although it was never there in the first place; that inexplicable urban sadness.

my goal this year was to utilize this blog more, to share the work i have been doing, but i couldn’t get myself to do it. there is something inherently shameful of seeing so many pretty posts of studying from a time that feels like lifetimes away. a lot of the posts we see are old, years old in fact, and it’s a studying pattern and productivity that isn’t achievable for many of us during a pandemic.
this year i found out i had adhd, i moved back home, injured my back, changed my major, got a 3rd job, and stood by my family as our household was torn by legal troubles. i was expected to be productive through all of it and honestly, i wasn’t. i missed deadlines and asked for extensions and dropped classes halfway through the quarter.
this is a year of tragedy and of finding solace in the fact that in order to take care of ourselves we must take care of other and vice versa.
wear your mask. call your friends. take naps. and among all of that remember that productivity is a morally neutral task. you are not bad or wrong for not doing something all hours of the day, and if you must do something then let it be something for yourself.

↳ october 14, 2020 | i rediscovered amazon kindle and i am very excited about it, but not all the money i’m going to have to spend. a new fast track class started on monday and i’m a little overwhelmed by the 5 chapters but it’s okay, i believe i will get it done.

It might feel like you’re just surviving right now, but one day you’ll be living, you’ll be thriving, and that day is worth surviving for.

08.10.2020 // a super old bujo spread + some of my fave reminders on the right (i miss the time when my month was still looking pretty assignment-free)
day 8 -What is the best thing about studyblr in your opinion??
hands down, the best thing about the community is the support. how uplifting everyone is, always cheering eachother on and always ready to offer kind words when needed.

can’t save people you love from dying, can’t save the country from tories or the planet from plastic, can’t hold onto time or make memories stay clear or anything really can you. but you can go on, you can write. writing things down keeps them in existence, in a way

Rainy days call for studying in bed (even though I have a perfectly good and clear desk I could work on...)
