Anonymous asks are turned off.
Anon, I'm sorry this site takes such a toll on you, but if you're going to continue putting words in my mouth and taking out whatever presumably terf-related trauma you have on me, you're just going to have to put your name to it.
I don't mean this flippantly; I sympathize with whatever you're going through, but you're not entitled to take it out on random strangers, and this random stranger is not obligated to let you do so. I'm not going to answer for things I didn't say and don't believe. Peace.

curious and sweet and gentle as ever. welcomes change. wants justice no matter who it’s for. misunderstood, but even then she understands. she sometimes makes rash decisions and puts herself in danger but even then, it’s for everyone’s well-being. she loves surrounding herself with her friends as often as she can. the girl who’s full of surprises.

are people really insisting misogyny isn't real, or are they saying female politicians shouldn't be praised uncritically? 🤨
If I wanted to be as uncharitable as you are being right now, I'd point out that a lot of people who say "female politicians shouldn't be praised uncritically" also do praise male politicians uncritically, or at least do not come down nearly as hard on them as their male counterparts, and a lot of their "criticism" just boils down to wanting to call HRC or AOC unfuckable c*nts without backlash.
If I wanted to be as uncharitable as you, I'd assume that that's who you're talking about when you imply that what I'm really upset about is people "not praising female politicians uncritically."
I'm going to be the bigger person, though, and answer this question on the assumption that you really are talking about completely reasonable people who don't have a sexist bone in their body, but are simply pointing out that female politicians are imperfect.
The most recent post I made kvetching about this was spurred by a thread of people, started by someone with "radical leftist" in bio, earnestly arguing that no one benefits from misogyny, and that misandry is actually just as systemic.
Most people don't come out and say it outright like they did, but I see this sentiment all the time. From demanding women qualify their posts about men and male privilege with every known intersecting identity that can change dynamics (and only demanding this of women; I rarely to never see this happen with queerness, religion, etc). To completely erasing the role of misogyny in abortion restrictions. To centering the conversation on a white woman who got abused and murdered by her boyfriend not on how our system allowed that to happen, but on how privileged she is (was) because true crime armchair detectives and fake psychics used her tragedy for tiktok clout.
(And don't take this the wrong way, we should absolutely talk about how missing woc are rarely given the same media attention, but you can make that point without acting like Gabby Petito had it easy because her body got found after she died, and you can make that point and also talk about, you know, the fact that cops were called to prevent her death and instead were joking around with her BF while she was sobbing.)
That's the kind of thing I'm talking about when I talk about people acting like misogyny isn't real or doesn't matter. Not people making good-faith criticism of public figures who happen to be women, who also make good-faith criticism of public figures who happen to be men.

I could write a whole fucking dissertation on this but I'm tired and I have asparagus to cook before it goes bad so I'll just summarize, which is that I'm getting real fucking tired of people on here acting like misogyny isn't a real system of oppression that has huge ramifications for all women (even otherwise privileged ones). You are all so stupid. No god bless, I hope you get cursed instead.

Hi! Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what does F/O mean? I’ve never seen that before.
Not a dumb question at all!!! F/O stands for "fictional other." It's a term used in the self-shipping community to denote the characters one ships themselves with. So the page with my F/Os is a list of the characters I ship myself with.
Self-shipping is exactly what it sounds like, shipping yourself (or a self-insert version of yourself) with a fictional character, the way you would ship two (or more) fictional characters together.
Hope this helps, and let me know if you have any other questions!

“ why are you asking me for help? ” for whoever fits best!
CREDENCE
Tumblr media
The words are out of Zemo’s throat for a few long seconds before she answers. Marina is taken back, flabbergasted--if that was a word she would ever use--shell shocked. The man before her, whom she had once had the sense to be scared of, was coming to her for help. A man who seemed as if he didn’t look to anyone but himself for anything, the kind of man that practiced the ‘if you want it done right, do it yourself’ philosophy, and put his faith into few people. And the people he did put it into, freely and willingly, like Oeznik, had been through more than a few clandestine meetings in hotel rooms, unlogged prison visits, nights in Madripoor, and a few firefights. She wasn’t someone Zemo trusts. Not by a long shot.
“Why are you asking me for help?”
Zemo purses his lips before answering, fiddling with the rim of his whiskey glass. “I find myself in a situation where I have no allies and no friends. You...are a last resort.” He tilts back the rest of his drink, swallowing quickly.
Marina catches the movement with her eyes and averts them just as quickly. “How do you know you can trust me?” She finds herself asking as she crosses her arms.
She wasn’t too keen on being anyone’s ‘last resort’ or anyone’s last anything but Marina wasn’t exactly in the most comfortable position right now. Caught between helping Bucky and Sam out of duty and obligation and following her own principles and for once doing what she wanted to do and not what she should do.
“I don’t.” Zemo stands up and goes to refill his glass again. She can’t imagine how much liquid courage it took for him to ask for her help; though probably not as much as it would take in the reverse situation. At the same time, she knew he wasn’t a man who admitted defeat easily but knew when the odds were stacked against him.
“Don’t trust me or don’t know if you can?”
“Take your pick.”
Marina grits her teeth. He definitely didn’t make anything easy. Maybe, just maybe, there was a tiny part inside of her that wanted him to admit he needed her help specifically. But, again, she’d never do it if she was in his shoes.
“Why should I?” Zemo raises his eyebrows at her, silently asking her to elaborate. “Help you. ”
“You want me on my knees don’t you, draga?” He meets her eyes. Zemo always found a way to look at someone like he was analyzing them, looking into their chest and straight at their heart, seeing them wholly and taking them for what they were. It was...unnerving.
Despite herself, Marina can’t help the heat that rises to her face, either by the eye contact or the thinly veiled innuendo. The man had more confirmed kills than the Winter Soldier and instead of running away screaming she was blushing like a schoolgirl. Get a grip.
“I’m not asking you to beg, as much as I’d love to see it. I just want a reason.” Two could play at that game.
Zemo quickly exhales out of his nose in amusement. She didn’t know if it was at the situation or her. Marina still wasn’t great at gauging any reasoning behind anything the man did. Maybe one day she’ll add that skill under her belt.
“Trust is not something that comes easily to me and I know it's the same for you. But, I am at an...impasse, if you will. So, I must make a wager. I have bet on you before and you have not failed me yet. In my eyes, that is the closest to credence you can get.”
Marina wasn’t someone who often mulled over things, someone who questioned her actions or decisions, someone who hesitated. Zemo changed that quickly. He barreled headfirst into her life and took no prisoners. Since Vienna, she has questioned every decision, hesitated at every opportunity, and become a different person than she ever knew herself to be. But, she had to wonder--she had to question herself--was this Marina growing into herself, becoming who she always should be, or was she being played, being twisted into something she’s not.
She knew Zemo wasn’t a good person. Knew that first hand, witnessed it, but at the end of the day, she found herself wondering if she was all that good of a person after all. And if she was, this answer was going to make a swift end of it.
“Okay.” Marina takes a step forward. “What do we do first?”

Like there are other churches that are part of the Latter Day Saint movement that broke off from Mormonism after Joseph Smith died who never had a prohibition on Black men holding the priesthood. The Community of Christ for example never had that prohibition, they've always given men the priesthood regardless of race. And that's because they were never under Brigham Young's leadership!
There's a direct line of cause-and-effect from Brigham Young becoming the church president to Black men being denied one of the most important rites in the church for literally no good reason.
Brad Wilcox like "you think Black people couldn't have the priesthood because what, Brigham Young was a JERK?" And it's like, yes, historically that is what happened. Joseph Smith can go fuck himself, generally, but he did ordain Black men. Black men held the priesthood under his leadership. And then he died and Brigham Young took over and banned Black men from holding the priesthood.
Like this is all documented historical fact, we don't have to speculate, so yes, Black men were barred from the priesthood because Brigham Young (as well as every Mormon "prophet" up until Spencer W. Kimball) were, to put it lightly, jerks.
