I've been holding my breath
I've been counting to ten
Over something you said
I've been holding back tears
While you're throwing back beers
I'm alone in bed
You know I, I'm afraid of change
Guess that's why we stay the same
So tell me to leave
I'll pack my bags, get on the road
Find someone that loves you
Better than I do, darling, I know
'Cause you remind me every day
I'm not enough, but I still stay

Say what you're feeling and say it now
'Cause I got the feeling you're walking out
And time is irrelevant when I've not been seeing you
The consequences are falling now
There's something I'm having nightmares about
And these are the reasons I'm crying out to be with you

I need somebody to heal
Somebody to know
Somebody to have
Somebody to hold
It's easy to say
But it's never the same
I guess I kinda liked the way you numbed all the pain
Now the day bleeds
Into nightfall
And you're not here
To get me through it all
I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved

Some things don't work
Some things are bound to be
Some things, they hurt
And they tear apart me
You left your diary at my house
And I read those pages, you really love me, baby

Living life as if you were blind
How many times a day do you think you are judged based on your looks? How many times do you judge someone's appearance in a day? In both cases, the numbers are probably too high to count.
More often than not, our society is dependent on the ability to interact with people through sight. We worry about what others think of our looks while simultaneously judging the appearance of others. This has led to a lot of people suffering from various illnesses and countless body image disorders such as anorexia, bulimia etc. along with loss of confidence.
Now imagine a scenario where everyone in the world was blind. What would our society look like?
We would stop worrying about appearance altogether. The only way to perceive someone would be to converse with them, listen to their opinions on things, and not worry about their guise.
Here, blindness is not a disability. It is a metaphor for interpreting the world without eyes.
If our world could comprehend the world and its people without eyes, we will be a step closer in ending so many cases of discrimination and oppression, all of which have crippled our society for decades.
If we as a community move past any judgments based on superficial aspects and begin to see a person by his or her personality and character, all of us would benefit.
So here is my challenge to you: strive to see the world without your eyes. If you do, who cares if you are white, black, brown, or purple? Who cares if your clothes match your lipstick and who cares what you look like?
Making the world a better place starts here and now. All you have to do is live as if you were blind.

I just want someone to say that it's okay to not be okay all the time. Someone to say it's okay to cry. Someone who I don't always have to put on a smile in front of. Someone I can show how I'm really feeling, and not be judged for it.

I just wanna be sad for a minute
Say I’m not okay for a minute
So good the skies rain while I’m in it
Let these tears fall ‘til they finish
I just wanna be sad for a second
Sink into this bed for a second
I’m topping this way like a blanket
I’ll be okay by the weekend
I just wanna be sad

Let's try something. Send me anonymous asks confessing something. (Or not anonymous, it's your choice). You confess something to me and I'll send you an ask back confessing something to you :)

I fake my smile to hide my tears so that I don't get asked questions and people don't worry about me. If that makes me a fake bitch, so be it.
