Gardening Guides!

this image shows some tips for “gardening” in animal crossing: new horizons. honestly, this is really helpful since half of the time i don’t know what i am doing ahaha, and it shows some tips on everything from flower growth to cloning.

did you know this? i actually never knew that if visitors water your plant they can get up to 80% change of production.

this tip shows the basics of “gold roses” and how to produce them & they only come from black roses. how cool! also, with this tip you do need a gold watering can, unfortunately.

UPDATE 6 - 8/07/2020

when i first opened up the game i realised that “Gulivarrr” was on my island so i went to go talk to him and find his communicator in the ocean. here is a little picture of me talking to him. 

he is so cute & the next he gave me a pirate outfit. it’s not that cool, but it’s alright because Gullivaarrr, is cute. 

also, some other news, my museum had opened and same as nook cranny’s! 

here’s a little photo of that. also, yes, i am in the southern hemisphere because i’m australian.

and a photo of the nook’s cranny.

also, some other exciting news (there’s so much!) i got the houses off of tom nook and placed one down, but yet have gotten the materials for the houses.

UPDATE 5 - 7/07/2020

this update is kind of short[ish]. 

so, the first thing when i started the game was obviously starting out with my daily ‘animal crossing’ routine. i always feel like i list what i do everyday, however this time i am not. [if you want me to make a post on what i do daily then just ask]

so, the first thing i had noticed that the museum was under construction and also Gulliver was on my island. he was wearing his pirate outfit! 

other than that, i am pretty sure that’s all i did on my island as i wanted to keep searching for Dom. i used all my 150+ NMTs and i didn’t find him, sadly. so i am just going to let a random villager spawn into my island and hoping that it will be Dom or someone who is cute!

UPDATE 4  - 6/07/2020

this update is going to be a bit long because i have so much to tell you guys. 

i started the game at 12 pm and i did my daily tasks; talking to my villagers, Sylvia and Roald, axing trees for wood, shaking the trees, hitting rocks, selling shells that i found on the beach, looking for the diy bottle, and of course checking the nook stop and also gaining more nook miles. 

after i done all of those things i decided to go diving to look for a scallop for the first time. and, i did end up finding one. in fact, here is a picture of my first scallop and little sweet pascall in the background. (ugh, he’s so cute!)

so, after that i decided to go to some islands which were doing giveaways with things such as, furniture, nmt, etc. it was really fun and i enjoyed seeing people’s island. if you guys want there are facebook pages who do these giveaways. i may or may not make a post about some facebook pages that you guys can join. 

so, after i those little giveaways i thought it was time to go on a search for my first dreamie villager, aka, Dom and other villagers that are on my list.

here are some of the villagers i have taken in so far. Zucker - he wasn’t on my dreamie list, but he his adorable and so cute.  Audie - she also wasn’t on my dreamie list, but i couldn’t pass her and leave her behind especially because i know when she’s in the boxes many people will offer to take her for NMTs. 

i still haven’t found Dom, yet, however i am still on a search for him. wish me the best luck.

UPDATE 3 - 5/07/2020

this day was also absolutely crazy and stressful.  first thing i noticed that my house was built, YAY! i finally had storage to put some of my things in the house, instead of them just laying around on my island & another thing was that Blathers had come to my island. 

so, first thing i did was talk to Blathers, of course. he asked for the usual quest ‘15 donations to open up the museum.’ so that was the first thing on my to-do list to go look for fossils, fish and bugs to donate. 

finally after hours of fishing, finding fossils and catching bugs (and missing entirely) i finally got my 15 donations, HIP HIP HOORAY! 

i also walked into tom nook and timmy talking about building a shop and he asked me to gather materials; 30 hard, soft and regular wood and also 30 iron nuggets. i managed to get 30 nuggets, however i did not end up axing trees as i was busy with other things that day! 

also, hung out with my friend who asked me if i can look after her stuff while she  restarted her island, hehe.

UPDATE 2 - 4/07/2020

this was the most longest day ever, especially because i had a lot of things to do; from paying off my bill that tom nook gave to me, cleaning up my island a bit, catching bugs and fish and also going diving!  the first thing i started out with is my daily things, as usual. this consisted of my routine. firstly, i started out with shaking out trees for money and furniture. then i starting hitting my rocks to for materials. i went to the nook stop and got my daily nook miles and also checked what Timmy was selling that day, and usually i actually buy one thing from him. i also went to the beach to look for the diy recipe bottle and collect shells to sell to Timmy. 

then i started with the real work, i try to earn the 5,000 nook miles when i first start, but unfortunately on the first day i couldn’t, so i was a bit late to that. so what i decided to do was look at the easiest things to earn nook miles. i mostly got them from planting fruits. so, i went to my friends island and grabbed some fruit off of her, such as, peaches, pears, cherries, oranges and coconuts (and she also gave me some bamboo shoots), so thank you, @hazyteacup. 

so, i finally paid off my house and then i decided to fish and hand them to Tom and waited for Blathers to call him so I can place down the museum.  and that’s all i really did for that day. see you in the next update!  - ashley from cocobay.

UPDATE 1 - 3/07/2020

this was when i decided to restart my island, again. this was because i was not attached to this island at all. not only that, but i had stopped playing for months, due to having not a lot of time to sit down and play and also having a lot of assignments. 

this was probably the most best idea i have had because i am actually enjoying this island and the ‘starting villagers’ i have had so far. 

so, starting out on this island my starting villagers were Sylvia and Roald. i have had Sylvia before on my old old old island, when i first starting playing animal crossing and absolutely adored her. 

Roald, however, i have never had him before and he is such a cutie, with his cute big black eyes. i have also noticed that in many groups (on facebook) he is also other people’s favourite too!  i met Tommy, Timmy and obviously Tom nook in the introduction and helped them with tasks that had needed to be done, aka, getting sticks and finding fruit. the native fruit that i got was apples. let’s just say i kind of wanted peaches, but i am also fine with apples too! not only that, but i also helped Sylvia and Roald place their tents. 

when it came to naming my island, it was a difficult decision and a very hard thinking one, as i had no idea what i wanted to name it. i have named all of my other three islands; seabridge, however this time i wanted a complete change. so, after looking around for some cute names i have decided to name it ‘Cocobay’. 

Cocobay was a cute island name and it really matched the theme i was going for, as my town was going to be colours of brown and very natural sort of ‘zen’ themed. 

however, i could not continue anymore as it was very late at night that day.

Welcome ✨

hey all & welcome to my animal crossing; new horizon blog!

the reason why i have made this blog is because a friend of mine has inspired me to make this, aka as @hazyteacup. i just loved the simplicity of her page and how aesthetic it is. another reason why i made this blog was to obviously post my journey of my animal crossing island named Cocobay.

this blog is a bit late from when i started my island, however it’s only two or three days since i’ve restarted my island & i will be definitely posting some updates later on.

this blog will also consist of inspirationa, QR codes, and also helpful guides that i have found along the way.

also, BIG THANKS to @hazyteacup for helping get this account started & giving me some ideas. not only that, but thank you for making me the GIF for this post.

also, i do not own the GIF for my headboard. i’ve have found that on google (search; brown aesthetic gifs).
