*He wasn’t the most perceptive guy, but he couldn’t help but notice the way he adjusted your skirt, played with your hands, and glanced down whenever he looked over at you. He found your bashfulness incredibly endearing, but he wanted you to feel safe and comfortable around him. He knew some things would come with time, but he made it a goal to do whatever he could to reassure you and boost your confidence in him and yourself* I, uh, know I already said this, but you look really pretty.

*He immediately feels his cheeks heat up. He’d been determined to say the right thing and then just ended up blurting out something he’d already said. That was dumb probably. He’s relieved when you perk up and tell him about your week. He relaxes and listens to you dutifully.* A bakery? Wow, that would be a highlight for me too! If I was constantly smelling fresh bread at work I wouldn’t be able to resist going in and grabbing a snack either. I’d love to try your favorites with you sometime!

*He hums thoughtfully over your question as you both get closer to your destination. Talking about the fires he’d had to fight that week and his boring tv dinners at home didn’t seem like good date conversation. His lips pull into a grin when he remembers something he was excited about though.* So, they announced this week that we’re going to have a fundraiser at the station in a couple weeks. It’s a pancake breakfast! Everything will be cooked by the firefighters and anyone can come. People donate money, any amount they want, and can have pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, coffee, you name it! And all the money is going to be donated to helping families affected by house fires.

*He pulls into the parking lot of the aquarium as he finishes his story. He wonders if you’d be interested in stopping by the station that day to see him at work. The thought of making you breakfast kind of excited him, although he’d prefer to wake up next to you first… he blushes and shakes his head. He hadn’t even been thinking anything dirty. He just craved a domestic partnership like that. He smiles over at you once the car is parked.* We’re here! Are you excited?

*The blush on my face grows darker and warmer, making me nervously tuck a strand of my hair behind my ear. His compliment makes my skin tingle as if butterfly wings were brushing again it. I look over to him shyly, again admiring how handsome he is, and smiling bashfully*

“You’re handsome too! I know I said that before too but I do mean it. And next time, I’ll get you some of my favorites at the bakery and we can try them together! Or you can tell me what you like and I’ll get them for you!”

*I blink and tilt my head curiously when he speaks about a fundraiser at his station. The idea already has me interested but when he tells her that the most yummiest breakfast would be make by the firefighters, she can’t help but imagine him in his uniform making her that breakfast. A naughty thought of him making it shirtless flashes her mind and she bites her lower lip to admonish herself for thinking like that. Though… It would be a very nice sight.

“I-I would love to come! Breakfast cooked by very good-looking men and women of the fire station? Who would pass that up? But seriously, that’s a very generous cause and I would like to come and donate. Or even help out! Can I donate other things too like clothes or amenities or anything. I can donate money too but, if I can donate more, I would like too. And… Well umm… Is it a guarantee that my breakfast will be made by the handsome fireman sitting next to me?”

*I look around when he announces that we’re here and seeing the aquarium in sight has me beaming brightly. I look over to him to flash him a bright smile and nod eagerly*

“I am! Are you? This is gonna be fun!”

*A faint blush appears on his cheeks, growing more apparent with each lovely word out of your mouth. When he’d suggested he was like a tree, he’d been thinking he was strong but perhaps a bit boring. Never going anywhere due to the strong roots and rigid branches, and nowhere near as vibrant and full of life as flowers. Your words, therefore, moved him greatly.* Jade. *He laughs a little at his own silly comment as you both go to the car. He thought, perhaps, that you had something on your mind. He was still getting to know you though, and it took him longer than other people to get the hang of deciphering other people’s body language. He hoped that if it was something that needed to be talked about, you would tell him. He didn’t want to make you uncomfortable by pushing or prodding. He chuckles at your playfulness regarding the dinner options.* Well, I’ll take the difficulty of my question as a compliment. But I agree with you, yakiniku is definitely the best choice.

*His heart gallops in his chest when you skip up to the car. Gosh, you were so cute and playful. And the way your skirt fluttered about your legs had his breath catching. And the moment he thought you couldn’t have him any more starstruck, you place your dainty hand on his arm making his skin feel tingly and warm. He knew he was falling fast. Nobody had ever captivated him the way you did. Despite how early it was in the relationship, he hoped desperately that he had found his forever in you.* You don’t have to be nervous about cooking because I’ll definitely help out. I won’t just be staring at you. *he chuckles* And, I’m not the greatest cook but I’d say I’m pretty good on a grill.

*Once you’re both in the car, he sets off towards the aquarium. He had the radio on but the volume was low so that it wouldn’t disrupt the conversation. He wanted to ask you so many questions, some of them about mundane things, but it was just because he wanted to know as much about you as possible. He glances over at you as he drives.* Is it boring if I ask you how your week was? I promise I’m not just trying to make conversation. I truly want to know.

*Him agreeing to yakiniku too has me relieved but I'm still a little nervous about cooking in front of him. I don't wanna mess it up or not cook things to how he likes. But he said he would help me and maybe that will give me an insight on what he likes so that I could feel good cooking for him one day. Like ... If we lived together one day. I shake my head for having that pop up in my head so soon and I try to calm down by gently tugging my skirt to cover my legs more. I had seen him look earlier and I hope that was a good thing and not because he thought I was being promiscuous*

*I couldn't help but watch him start the car and drive off to our date; I found it so handsome as he concentrated and he had a very handsome side profile. I blush when he glances over at me and I look down at my hands that nervously wringe at each other*

"Not at all! I don't think it's boring. Well, where should I star- Oh! A bakery opened up next to my work place! It's making my office smell like bread and I really love it! I've been going there almost every day to try something new but, I always get one cream filled bun. It's good with coffee! The workers there have learnt my name already since I go there all the time hahaha"

*I recount to him happily, closing my eyes a little at the thought of yummy pastries. I open them to look at him and tilt my head with a smile, again admiring how handsome he is while he drives and the way the sun shows off his tanned skin*

"I'll get some for our next date. But what about you? What have you been up to?"

"They do? I think you seem more like a sunflower than me. Bright. Warm. And beautiful. I'm more like... a tree."

*He laughs sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head. He wondered if being around you would ever stop making his heart race and mind feel like scrambled eggs. It surprises him when you kiss his cheek and his face flushes a deeper red. The way you fumble over your words as you compliment him is so endearing to him and makes him smile warmly, hoping to help you relax a little bit.*

"You're so sweet. Thank you. You look so pretty too. I really like your dress." *It was an understatement honestly. The way your skirt fluttered around your thighs made him struggle not to stare. He had the strongest urge to put his hands on your hips and pull you closer as well. He was very attracted to you and he just wanted to be close to you. He chuckles when you seem so excited at all the different parts of the aquarium.*

"We'll try to do as much as possible today. We can see what time the otter and dolphin events are and plan our time." *He hadn't known that there were themed foods and drinks at the aquarium, but now he was excited to see what they had today. He notices the way you clutch at your purse and hopes he didn't do or say something to make you. nervous.*

"I had a few ideas for dinner. I thought yakiniku might be good and I know a few nice places we could go. Sushi is another option since it's hot out. That might be more refreshing. Was there anything you were craving particularly?"

*My blush grows with every compliment he gives me, making my fumble more. My hear is fluttering wildly in my chest and I feel tingly in giddiness. I even feel light on my feet as we walk to the car, still can’t believe that I’m on a date with this handsome and kind man again. Honestly, he had my heart since the first date and I’m embarrassed to let him or anyone know that I fell so hard for him almost immediately. I didn’t wanna put him off by admitting that, but my heart just yearns for him when he’s away then soars like a bird when I’m with him. I hope that one day I can tell him how I feel*

“Oh? Sushi or yakiniku? Both sounds so good! You’re throwing me hardball decisions the first moment on this date, Mr. Sawamura,”

*I giggle then grin at him, skipping next to him*

“While I always love sushi, I feel a little bad eating our cute friends after seeing them in the aquarium. Sooo, how about yakiniku? I promise I won’t burn anything but I might get shy cooking. I just, I get a little nervous when people watch me cook. B-But I promise I can cook well!”

*I bite my lower lip, hoping I didn’t come off weird but his smile reassures me. It always does. I return his smile when he opens the car door for me, saying a soft ‘thank you’ before placing my hand on his arm to steady me as I get in the passenger seat.

“Aquarium and yakiniku, here we come!”

*It had already been a handful of dates since you and Daichi had met but somehow he still had trouble wrapping his mind around the fact that you were real. He checks his hair in the rearview mirror for the dozenth time as he comes to a stoplight right down the street from your place. Gosh, he looked the same as always. Was that okay? He wanted to impress you. You were so sweet and thoughtful. He knew you were a keeper but he worried that maybe he was too boring.*

*He pulls up in front of your place and takes a deep breath, looking down at his outfit and trying not to let his brain tell him it was the wrong choice and that he could’ve dressed up a little bit more. You two were going to the aquarium though, so it didn’t seem right to wear anything too formal. He laughs at himself a little. He was more nervous about impressing you than he was before most volleyball matches he’d played. He grabs the gift he’d gotten you off the passenger seat and heads to your front door. His lips pull into a huge handsome grin as soon as he sees you.*

Hey! You look nice! Uh… this is for you. You said they’re your favorite right? *He hands you a tiny flower plot with two little dwarf sunflowers planted inside. He felt beads of sweat forming across his forehead just from nerves. He was sure you’d told him you liked sunflowers but what if he’d mixed something up in his head? At least he knew for sure that you loved the aquarium. He’d read and reread the text messages you two had sent each other like a crazy lovestruck teenager and there was no doubt that you’d really wanted to go there.*

I’m really excited to see the aquarium with you. I was looking this morning, and I think we’ll be able to catch a dolphin show and a couple of the feedings if we time things right. They have a café inside the building if we wanted to get a snack at some point, but I was sort of hoping to take you somewhere nice for a late lunch or early dinner. What do you think?

(Hey Jade! We did a bit of a rewind and now you're on one of your first dates with Daichi!! He is so excited to get to know the amazing girl he's somehow dating and I hop you are too!!)

*I look in the mirror and smooth my dress for the umpteenth time, frowning at the thought that I might be ruining it for fiddling with it too much. But I was just so nervous for this date with Daichi, I didn’t know what to do as I wait for him. I sigh and fiddle with the hem of my dress*

“I hope I wasn’t being too forward with wanting to go to the aquarium when he asked where to go this time. I hope he’ll like it too,”

*I sigh again at my own little monologue, remembering how I had gone on and on about wanting to go and all the little events and shows that happened there. I hoped that I didn’t bore him or overloaded on him about my love for aquariums. Hearing a car pull up, I squeak and hurry to the door but back peddling to grab my purse that was on the bathroom counter. I use this moment to check myself one last time before rushing to get to the door when the doorbell rings. I’m taken aback by the handsome man standing at my door with a little pot of twin sunflowers, even more surprised when he hands it to me. My heart flutters when he says it’s for me and I take it tenderly*

“Hello! Oh! I- Yes! I do like them. Sunflowers. They… They make me think of you,”

*I blush when I admit the latter part but it’s true. I admire the sunflowers then him, letting out a little giggle when the blackish brown fuzzy party of the the flower’s middle makes me think of his hair and how I want to touch it or run my hand through it. I hesitate for a moment before quickly leaning in to kiss him on the cheek*

“Thank you for them. Let me put them inside real quick,”

*I tell him before disappearing for a moment to place them on the dining table then coming back out. I give him a big grin and compliment him as I lock up*

“You look really handsome today! Well… You look handsome all the time. I-I mean you’re always handsome but today moreso but you’re handsome all the time. O-oh! Dolphin show? That sounds exciting! I hope we can do that and the feeding. Do you think we can do the one with the otters? And we can get a snack at the cafe. They always have themed desserts and drinks. And um, what did you have in mind for dinner?”

*I can’t help ramble in nerves, flustered about the first part with calling him handsome and just snowballing after that. I turn to face him, almost reaching out to take his hand but I hesitate then clutch my purse with both hands. I feel guilty for just assuming I could do that with him and worry that I looked silly doing so. I look up at him through my lashes and give him a shy smile*

“I’m really glad you’re here. I missed you,”

He couldn't help but feel aroused standing so close to you, completely naked in the steamy shower. But it was more than that. He grins at your little snort while rinsing the shampoo from your hair and moving to lather up some body soap to rub over the rest of you.*

Oh? You say that like you didn't sketch stars in the sky for me. *He smiles softly when you turn around to start washing him too.* It might sound cliche, love, but I'm the one who feels blessed. I wish I could properly express the happiness you've brought to my life. I would not be the man I am today if it weren't for you.

*He can't help but give you a wink when you start drying him off with the towel. He hoped you wouldn't mind that he'd gotten a little excited when you had your hands rubbing all over him to wash and dry him. You just had that effect on him. He lets out a playful growl before capturing you in a towel and returning the favor of drying you off. When you suggest sleeping naked though, the playfulness dies down a bit.*

Not only do I not mind, bunny, I think that is a spectacular idea. After such a lovely day, I would love to fall asleep with you having your skin on mine with nothing in between. *He gets a sort of sly look.* As long as you don't mind if I get a little handsy in the morning to wake you up?

*I can’t help the blush that grows on my cheek as I see how he’s gotten excited as I dry him. A part of me wants to take care of that: make slow and soft love before falling asleep but I know I’ll conked out before we even start the foreplay. So, I just give him a cheeky grin in reply to his wink before squealing in glee when he captures me in a towel*

*My blush deepens when he agrees to my suggestion of sleeping naked; my skin buzzing with earnest for intimacy as vulnerable as this. A soft chuckle escapes me when he mentions getting hands in the morning then let my hand rest on his chest above his heart*

*I give him a kiss and let him pick me up bridal style so we can head to bed, casting the towels on the sink for us to deal with in the morning. I pepper kisses along his jaw as he carries me then wrap my arms around his neck so I can tug him with me as he lays me down. I let him get comfortable and rest his weight on me as he settles on top of me. I know he worries about being too heavy, so I let him know I’m okay with a kiss to the top of his head and my fingers carding through his hair. I smile as I hear him sigh in content before he tugs the covers to us. I reach over to turn on the fairy lights then turn off the main room light and the soft glow helps hammer the last nail of exhaustion on me*

“Mmm, Daichi… I love you,”

*I mumble, fingers still languidly play with his hair as my heavy eyelids close. I wiggle under him to get as close to him as I could; bare skin pressed against his own bare body. I can hear him whisper back an ‘I love you, too’ before sleep overcomes me. A smile still on my lips as the thought of waking up to him tomorrow is the last thing on my mind before I slip into dreamland*

He nods his head obediently when you ask him to undress you, and his large warm hands glide over your hips before gently tugging your shirt off over your head. He places a chaste kiss to your lips before setting to work getting you out of the rest of your clothes.* Mm, so beautiful.

*The blush on your face is so adorable and he finds it alluring how you can be so sweet, even when your mind is thinking something naughty. He leans down to kiss your lips softly. He holds back from whispering dirty things in your ear or reminding you of the way he'd fingered you in the ocean earlier.* Let's get in the shower now, bunny. Gotta get you cleaned off so we can go cuddle up in bed together.

*Once you're standing under the warm water, he runs his hands through your hair to make sure to wet it all the way through before squirting some shampoo into his palm and working it into your hair. For a moment he enjoys the soft, satisfied look on your face as he massages the shampoo in, but it doesn't take long for his eyes to wander, watching the water droplets that cling to your skin and then roll down the curves of your body. He lets out a chuckle.* How do you hold so much power over me, Jade, even without trying?

*I hum into his kiss as he undresses me, closing my eyes in both sleepiness and content while languidly helping him get me out of my clothes. I blush at his comment, shaking my head with a smile when I pull away then tug him to the shower. I nod this time when he mentions cuddling in bed, so ready for it*

*I sigh when he starts washing my hair; his gentle touch not helping me fight off the exhaustion. But it’s the feeling of his eyes on me then that handsome chuckle that perks me up again. I turn my head slight to peek at him with an amused snort*

“Says the man who has my whole heart and soul in the palm of his hand. But gosh, it’s only you who I can trust with it. You have so much power over me too yet you treat me like a sketch stars in the sky for you. I’m really blessed, my love”

*Once he gets done washing my hair and body too, I turn around to do the same for him. Giggling when I have to get on my tip toes and reach up to wash his hair. I nuzzle his nose when I get that done before scrubbing the sea water off him. I’m happy that the sun has tanned him though and I know tomorrow morning I’m gonna be admiring it*

*With the shower done, I let him turn of the water then I grab our towel to dry him off first. I enjoy ruffling his hair with it before letting him gather me in a towel. I bite my lower lip in the sudden suggestion that pops in my head before getting the courage to ask*

“Do… Do you mind if we sleep naked tonight? I’m… I’m too tired for clothes and the night is still a little warm. I just want it to be us and the blankets. Is that weird?”

*His eyes flick over to you at every red light and stop sign, unable to keep his eyes off you for too long because you looked so cute in the passenger seat smiling happily with that sleepy look on your face. He lets out a content hum when your hand finds his leg and he finds himself more relaxed just by having that small amount of contact with you. You really were his soulmate.* These days spent together are definitely nice, but maybe it’s time we took a weekend trip somewhere to really treat ourselves. What do you think?

*Once home, he feels so extremely happy even as he unloads the car. This is the life he’d always dreamed of having and it felt so good to be living it with you. He locks up the car once everything is unloaded and comes back in to find you recounting the day to Molten. The amount of love that wells up inside him is almost overwhelming, especially when he hears you tell the doggo how much you love him.* Jade? *He calls your name just so you know he’s there before walking forward and wrapping his arms around you gently and pressing a kiss to your forehead. He legs out a relaxing sigh, closing his eyes for a minute and just standing with you, swaying just a little bit.* I love you so much too. It makes me so proud just knowing I can give you a life that makes you happy and that you love me enough to let me share in that happiness with you.

*He pulls away just to put some of the refrigerated stuff away while Molten finishes eating. Then he takes your hand and brings it up to his lips to press kisses to your fingers.* You ready to go take a warm shower, bunny?

*I hum when I hear him call my name; giving him a sleepy smile when I see him at the kitchen threshold. I hold out my arms as I watch him approach me and I let myself melt in his embrace. Sleep threatens to make me limp in his arms, but I know I still have to shower off the sand and sea water from myself before heading to bed. I call his name softly and sleepily when he kisses my forehead then close my eyes as he sways us. I cling to him when he tells me he loves me back and I nod about how he gives me a happy and well-loved life that we can share*

“Daichi, I don’t want this with anyone else. In this life and the next, I wanna come home and dance in the kitchen with just you. I wanna feed a doggo who belongs to you. I wanna hold your hand and tell you how you’re amazing and pull the covers up to your chin then snuggle you close. I want that with only you,”

*I pull away slightly so I can cup his face with my hands, admire him, then lean in for a soft kiss. I let him put away the things we need to keep cool while I hold onto his shirt, yawning again and rubbing my eyes to keep me awake at least until we hit the bed. But feeling his lips to my fingers awakens me a little and I blush. I nod at his mention of shower and follow him to the bathroom. Once there, I help him get out of his shirt; pulling it over his head and giggling at how it messes up his hair. I lean in to kiss him while my hands rest on his chest before they slide down him to help him out of his swimming shorts*

“Undress me?”

*I ask a little breathlessly, not meaning to tease. I was just being a little lazy and wanted him to help me get out of my clothes. My face turns pinker when I realize how it might have come off as and I hope he doesn’t mind*

Morning baby... Sorry for the abrupt awakening... You know I love to cuddle up with in the morning but I'm afraid If I do that we will probably both be quite late... So... I thought about making a great breakfast for us as a compensation. What do you say? Are you in for that? Got some freshly made pancakes and a good cup of coffee! *He adds smiling*

*He finish up the last pancakes while he cleans and washes all of the materials he had used for it and only then joins you at the table. *I light up as he does and give a little giggle when he continues dancing, doing my own little sleepy shimmy dance with him. I feel lighter, not weighed down by the worries of work, and full of love by the man in front of me. I shake my head at his apologies; while a little disappointed that Id didn’t get my morning snuggles, he made it up with his dancing and making yummy breakfast*

“It’s okay, honey. It’s a nice surprise to wake up to such a yummy breakfast made by such a yummy man”

*I wink at him while I reach out for my coffee to take in the aroma, adding cream and sugar as he washes the dishes. My smile grows when he sits next to me at the table and I lean in to kiss his cheek before resting my head on his shoulder. I shake my head again at his other apology*

“Mm that sounds really nice. Can I sneak some kisses as you take me to work in your patrol car. I can do my best to keep my hands to myself but you know how I feel about you in your uniform,”

*I rest my hand on his thigh at that but then tilt my head at his suggestion at several rounds. My mind jumps to naughty conclusions, especially when he says it in that sexy voice that gets me shivering, and I blush at that. My hand on his thigh moves a little higher and inward on his thigh while I lean in to nibble the lobe of his ear*

“Oh? Won’t you give me a little hint as to what you mean? Oooor maybe a little preview? My mind is still trying to wake up from dreamland so I have to be sure what my sexy husband is implying”

*Daichi usually finds hard to leave your joint bed every morning, specially so early in the morning. The way in which he is forced by the annoying sound of this phone alarm at such an early hour in the morning should be illegal. He hates to leave your side, your warmth , and the soft smell of that particular brand of hair conditioner you always use. But not today. Today the alarm goes off as soon as it beeps the first time. He gets out of the bed, gets a kick shower and go downstairs to make your favourite breakfast. He also put some fresh flowers from the garden on a vessel and some soft music to wake you up. He wanted to send you to your job happy and with a smiley face, despite how much your coworker was abusing your trust, time and professionalism. He knows how hard these days have been for you so there he is. Already in his police officer uniform, making some fluffy pancakes and hot chocolate for you as he sings along with the radio, waiting for you to come downstairs to him that morning at the sound of a quite accurate song. "Let's get physical" *

*I sleepily reach over to Daichi's side of the bed, already dreading going into work, in hopes to cuddle with him before I go to the inevitable. I lift my head though when I feel his spot empty, void of his warmth, and no where in sight of my handsome man* "Daichi?" *I call out for him groggily then listen for a response. I can hear the clinking of pans and dishes and the radio. A smile grows on my lips and I get out of bed to see what he's up to*

*Before that though, I go to wash up for the day. I take with me a blanket that I throw over my shoulder for comfort then head to the kitchen. Seeing Daichi in his uniform singing and dancing a little while making breakfast has me giggling. The dread of work is forgotten* "Good morning Officer Sawamura, you're up and early this morning. Are you making breakfast for us?"

*it makes him happy to take just a few more moments to enjoy the serenity of the beach and the feeling of you in his arms. He feels his chest fill with love when you say you wouldn’t trade the day for anything.* I feel completely the same.

*the cute way you help him load the car has him smiling and chuckling, and he tries to steal some kisses too. He watches you watch the shooting stars with love in his eyes, reaching out to take your hand when he hears your sweet wishes* I think a day in bed sounds perfect. We can rest up and maybe order some yummy take out between naps and… whatever other activities we might get up to. *He winks teasingly at you before hopping in the car with you, letting out a yawn of his own.*

I had a wonderful day. I love my job but it’s nice to get my mind off it every once in a while. It’s even better when I get to spend time with my lovely bunny. *He gives you another smile before slowly pulling out of the parking lot and heading home. He knew the dog was going to be happy to see you both and probably wondering why his dinner was late.*

*When he finally pulls up at your house, he reaches over to gently pat your thigh* you didn’t fall asleep did you? *He laughs affectionately and leans over to kiss your cheek* Why don’t you head inside and feed Molten while I unload the car? I’d leave it for tomorrow but I don’t want the food to go bad.

*I listen to him talk about his work while he drives; his voice low and comforting that it makes my eyes droop more in sleepiness. A languid smile grows on my face as I understand the passion he has for the job yet still needing time for himself when it gets a bit much. My hand softly plops onto his thigh to let him know I’m listening while admiring him as he lights up with every lit streetlamp we pass* “I love spending time with you too, honey. When work gets busy, I yearn for days like these when we can get away and just have it be us,”

*I yawn bigger this time when we finally pull up back to our house and I whimper just a bit when he asks if I fell asleep. A part of me wants to tell him I did so he can carry me into our bed, but I know Molten misses us. I nod at his suggestion and smile when he kisses my cheek* “Mm I’ll feed pupper pup. You be careful when unloading okay?” *I say before leaving his side but not with a kiss to his cheek as well*

*I greet a happy dog as I open the door and ruffle his head before ushering him to his feeding area with promises of a good dinner* “Your poppa is putting stuff away, Molten. We went to the beach today! It was a lot of fun!” *I start as I get his food ready, sleepily going on with what we did that day; interrupting here and there to pet him or coo at him. I have him give me a paw shake before setting his food down and keep going with the beach date. Sleep is quickly creeping but I was determined to stay awake and wait for Daichi to join me for a quick shower and finally bed* “Your poppa is such a good man, Molten. I love him so much”

“Wonderful-est” *He repeats the silly word with amusement in his voice. It made him so incredibly happy though to know that he’d successfully given you such a good day. He knew work wasn’t always the best, so it was important to him to get you away and out of that headspace from time to time.*

“You’re probably right.” *It was a little sad to think about ending the night. But even though the shooting starts were few and far between now, he knew that there was still the silver lining. And that was going home with his cute little wife and snuggling up with her in bed.* “Don’t forget we have all day tomorrow to rest up and spend time together too.” *He holds you for just a few minutes longer before helping you up and packing away all the beach things the two of you had brought. He takes your hand in his and leads you back towards the car, smiling as he thought about the dolphins, sand bar, sea glass, kisses, and spicy moments the two of you had shared that day.* “I love you, Jade.” 

*He swoops in to press a kiss to your cheek before loading up the car and then opening the passenger door for you to climb in.* “I’m so glad you had a good day. I think we both needed this.”

*I smile when he repeats my made-up word and I close my eyes to just bask in the coziness and security my husband’s arms provide. All of today’s events drift in my mind like a movie and I snuggle more into him, so in love and so happy* “I wouldn’t trade this day for all the riches in the universe” *I say softly*

*I get up and help him pack all are things to take to the car, taking some moments to be tender and brush my hand against his or throw him a little shy smile and definitely still a little peck here and there* “Is it bad that I’m looking forward to just staying bed all day tomorrow? Lounge and relax with just you?” *I ask as he reminds me that we still have Sunday to look forward to. A lazy Sunday sounds like a good idea. I happily take his hand as we start to head to the car, slowing us down a little so I can glance at the last few shooting stars crossing the sky. I make wishes on them, loud enough for only him to hear: like getting the last yummy donuts at our favorite bakery or getting good seats at a movie theater for a future movie date. Small but happy wishes for the both of us*

“I love you too, Daichi” *I respond back, eyes sparkling at his proclamation and I lean into him to slot my lips over his in a kiss. I know we’re in the middle of the parking lot doing this but I don’t really care of the strangers who may pass by*

*I giggle when he steals a kiss before he loads out things in the car, then a yawn creeps on me; the giddy fatigue creeping on me from all the fun in the sun. I slip my hand in his as he leads me the passenger side; feet dragging a little until I hop into the seat. I nod sleepily at him* ”I had lots of fun, honey. Did you? You need some find times at the beach too! I know it gets hectic at the fire station so a day away from there is good”

*Daichi wished you didn’t have to get up and go to work on such a special day, so he was determined to do everything he could to make things easier and more relaxed for you. He wakes up and turns off your alarm, wanting you to get at least a few extra minutes of sleep.*

Don’t wake up momma, just yet. *He pats Molten on the head while going into the kitchen to feed the dog and his kitty sister. He starts the coffee maker and then gets to work making some homemade muffins, hoping you’d be in the mood for a small treat for breakfast.*

*He checks the time after the muffins are done and then heads to the bedroom, sitting on the side of your shared bed and kissing your cheek and then forehead.* Honey, time to wake up. *He brushes his knuckles over you face and pushes your hair behind your ear. When your eyes blink open, his lips pull into a big smile.* Good morning, bunny. Happy Birthday.

*He waits patiently for you to wake up fully, soothing any worry you might have about sleeping in.* You’ll be just fine, love. I’ll drive you to work myself after a muffin and some coffee.

*As you get ready, he goes back to the kitchen to take the cooled muffins out of the pan and prepare a mug of coffee just how you like it.* I know you have to go into work today, Jade, but I promise we’ll have a nice dinner when you get home tonight. I have some other surprises prepared for you too!

*He makes sure to lavish you in kisses and affection before taking you to work, doing everything he can think of to keep that smile he loves so much on your face.* I hope you have the best day possible, darling. I love you so much. Happy Birthday.

*The smell of something sweet and baked tickled my nose and I stir a little, slightly waking up. I’m half eager to know what’s that yummy smell but also wanting to have a couple more minutes of sleep before having to go into work. I chose the latter, settling more into bed to catch those few minutes. The kisses felt dreamlike for a moment until I hear the voice of my husband calling me awake and making my heart bloom in getting his affection first thing in the morning. I sigh in content and lean into his touch as he brushes my face, only pouting when he pulls away; mumbling to him not to go. Still a bit sleepy, I open my eyes and my lips grow into a smile as he smiles too* “Daichi, good morning to you to-oh!”

*I notice the sunlight streaming in and panic has my heart drop about being late to work. A little part of me (maybe a little devilish side) tells me since I’m late, I should just stay home. But I sigh in relief when Daichi assures me and promises to drive me to work, along with breakfast which makes me tilt my head a little, remembering that yummy baked smell* “Muffin and coffee? Did you bake me something, honey?”

*Adoration and excitement fills me but I wash up and get dress, thinking about how I’m gonna spend the morning with him even if it’s for the drive. It brightens my mood from earlier the night before but also because I just wanna spend as much time as I can on my birthday with him. I get a little sad thinking about being away at work for most of the day for my own birthday but I know once that’s done, I’ll be in Daichi’s arms for the rest of the day. I perk up when he comes back with his little surprise* “Honey! Oh these look so yummy! Thank you!” *I lean in to kiss him* “I know… Sucks that I gotta work today but I’m yours once I’m clocked out and outta that building. You’re making it hard to just go in, honestly. But I’ll be good and do my best” *I promise by wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing him properly by slotting my lips over his and pouring all my love for him*

*I happily have my breakfast in the car as he takes me to work, sharing my breakfast with him and stealing kisses during stop lights. I don’t care if it was too early for other people to be all lovey dovey; it was my birthday and I was gonna steal as much kisses as I could before parting from my husband for a few hours. Even in the parking lot, I stole a few more kisses* “I will do my best. Don’t miss me too much?” *I joke with a giggle* “I love you too, honey. I’ll see you in just a few moments. Good Morning *He coos at you to coax you into opening your eyes. The strong scent of sweet and savory smells hits your nose and you can’t help but peek your eyes open curiously.*

Happy Mother’s Day to the best dog and kitty momma! *Daichi was holding a tray containing a small stack of waffles with bacon and breakfast sausages on the side. He had chocolate, strawberry, and maple syrup for you to choose from as well as a dish of fresh fruit and a steaming mug of coffee.*

*There was also a card on the tray with a dog and cat paw print on the front which pulled your attention to Molten who had on a doggy bow tie that made him look very handsome.* Oh and here comes Orbie!

*The newest member of your little family comes in with a pretty bow around her neck. You weren’t sure how Daichi had managed to get her into it but she was already rolling on the floor trying to pull it off and play with it.*

That’s not all! *Daichi tilts his head toward the nightstand where an interesting assortment of sunflowers and hydrangeas were stuffed into a tall vase for you.*

Thanks for being such a lovely momma to our babies and a wonderful wife to me. *Daichi leans in and gives you another kiss* Let’s do something nice today.

I stir awake as I felt Daichi’s soft kiss, a smile growing on my lips as I listen to him try to rouse me awake. A giggle bubbles past my lips when I feel our excited pupper hop up onto our bed. Eyes still closed, I reach out to pet Molten then reach to find my husband.

“Mmm’rning” I slur sleepily with another giggle erupting when my hand lands on Daichi’s chest. I rub sleep out of my eyes with my other hand and finally open them to see the yummy breakfast he has made for me. I slowly get up as I take in all the yummy options I had that was laid out for me and the smile on my face grows. I look at Daichi with bright eyes and probably messy hair but my heart soars when he wishes me a Happy Mother’s Day, “Oh honey, all this? For me? You really spoil me. I do hope you’re helping me eat all of this, I’m gonna pout if I don’t share this with my wonderful hubby”

I take the card off the tray to look at it and my heart melts at the sigh of the two paw prints. I’m torn with putting this in my journal or displaying it for us to see. I just want to keep looking at it to remind me I have a loving hubby and two sweet babies. I tear my eyes away from the card at the mention of our little kitty and laugh when she rolls around to play with her bow “Oh my silly Orbie” I coo and look back at Molten “And my cute little gentleman Molten, you two helped your poppa make all this huh? You two are so sweet,”

I blink at Daichi when he mentions more things and I look over to where he tilts his head and gasp. The sight of sunflowers and hydrangeas make my heart soar and almost makes me cry. He knows so well my favorite flowers and I admire them for a moment thinking about how both sets remind me of us. I always associate sunflowers with Daichi and myself with hydrangeas: an odd combo but I love it.

I look over to Daichi with teary eyes and throw my arms around him, stealing that kiss he leans in to give me “Thank YOU for making this day so wonderful already. I dunno how this day can get any better but yes! Let’s do something nice today. But first! Help me with this breakfast, honey!”

His words have my heart filling with love and I couldn’t believe how blessed I was to have such a loving husband. But the long day and the comfort he gave me was starting to make me tired. I peer up at the sky to watch the stars fly across the sky while I find his hand to hold. I wanted to stay longer but I know I would knock out halfway home if we did. I turn my gaze to look up at him and nuzzle my head a little more into him*

“Today was the most wonderful-est day. I know wonderful-est isn’t a word but really, I would do today all over again. With you, always. I think it’s time to go home though, I wanna be in our bed and cuddle with my hubby. Can we? Please?”

*Valentine’s Day was a silly holiday to some people, but it was really important to Daichi. He didn’t see it as a mandatory day to buy chocolates and flowers, although he was a sucker for traditional gifts like that, but as a great excuse to celebrate his love for you. He’d always pictured himself as a husband one day, but what he hadn’t been completely prepared for was having someone by his side that would enrich his life quite like you.*

Wake up, beautiful. It’s a big day today. *He kisses your cheek to try and coax you from dreamland. He’d turned off your alarm to let you sleep in a few extra minutes, but now he knew he had to get you up so you wouldn’t have to rush to get ready. When he sees your eyes flutter open, he smiles with his gaze full of love. He chuckles when Molten jumps up on the bed too to come give his momma some good morning kisses.*

Breakfast is already on the table, bunny. I want you to have a happy full tummy when you go into work. *He lures you out of bed with kisses and leads you to the kitchen where a plate of heart shaped pancakes waits for you, along with a platter of fresh fruit and a steaming mug of coffee.* Happy Valentine’s Day, Jade. 

*He presses a kiss to your temple before walking you the rest of the way into the kitchen and pulling the chair out for you to sit down. That’s when you notice the giant gift basket acting as a centerpiece on your dining table. It was full of your favorite chocolates, of course, but also had some self care items like bath bombs, face masks, and your favorite scented candles. In the middle of it all was a giant plushie ladybug holding a heart that said ‘you’re my love bug.’*

You make me the happiest man on Earth, honey. I would give you the world if I could, along with the entire sky and all the stars in it. *He slides into the chair next to you with his own plate after quickly feeding Molten and Orbit. They had their own Valentine’s Day gifts from Daichi which he showed you with a chuckle. There were two smaller baskets filled with dog bones, kitty treats, and Valentine’s Day themed pet toys.* I love my family, and I love you, Jade. I couldn’t imagine a better life than this.

*He sends you off to work with a big hug and a kiss, smiling when he thinks of the bouquet of flowers that would be delivered to your office at some point during the day, and the amazing dinner he had planned for you both once you came home.* Have a wonderful day, and know that I love you so so much. *I whine a little as Daichi wakes me up, but it turns into an appreciative hum when I feel his kisses to my cheek. I keep my eyes closed for a moment, wanting to bask in his affection before opening my eyes up to look at him. My heart soars in my chest as I admire how he looks in the soft glow of the fairy lights hanging over our bed. I’m about to tell him good morning but it gets cut off when Molten jumps in bed for morning kisses, squealing and laughing* “Good morning to YOU, Molten!”

*Once we get the big fluffy pupper out of the bed, I follow Daichi to the kitchen while holding his hand. A gasp escapes me when I see the lovely breakfast and big gift basket on the table* “Daichi… Is this all for me? Oh honey” *I look at him with so much affection and give him a big kiss on the cheek* “Happy Valentine’s Day, Daichi. Thank you so much. Come on! Let’s have his yummy breakfast!”

*As he goes to get his plate, I peek into the basket; heart growing at each lovely gift I see. I wonder if he’ll like the present I got him: a massage gun, some of his favorite snacks, and little pins he can put on his jacket that reminds him of our little family. They’re waiting for him at the station, happy that his co-workers agreed to keep it there until he arrives; I know it’s in safe hands. I smile softly at the sweet ladybug and pat it’s head* “He’ll like my gift, right? I really hope so,” *I ask the ladybug who just smiles in reassurance*

“Daichi! This is all so wonderful! I can’t thank you enough for all these lovely gifts” *I exclaim to him when he slides next to me. I sigh in happiness and rest my head on his shoulder* “Seriously, honey. You’ve done so much, thank you. Gosh I wish I could give you the entire world” *I lift my head to see the gifts our puppy and kitty got and I coo at how good their poppa is to them* “Daichi, you gave me this family. You did all of this and so much more. Gosh, you make my dreams come true. I love you so much, Daichi” *I cup his face to lean in to rub noses with him then kiss him* “You’re my dream come true”

*We take our time having breakfast, as much as we could, before we got ready for work. I didn’t wanna leave him but, we both have responsibilities. Plus it would ruin the surprise if he didn’t go to work and get my present and incoming bouquet of sunflowers. Once all dressed and ready to go, I throw my arms around him for a big hug and a kiss* “I’ll be thinking about you and looking forward to tonight!” *I giggle then kiss him again* “You have a wonderful day too! I love you! And we’ll be home in each other’s arms soon”

*Orion the hunter was his favorite constellation. He hadn’t been lying. But watching the way your eyes sparkled with happiness as you traced the stars in the sky was far more enticing than the stars themselves. He was so in love with you, he’d probably trade every twinkling light in the sky just to keep you by his side. Still, he tore his gaze away and looked up so you’d know you had his full attention.*

I actually don’t know the story of the Gemini twins. You’ll have to tell me all about it. *When you lower your hand back down, he’s quick to take it into his own and twin his fingers with yours. Your small gasp when the first shooting stars appear has his lips tugging into a smile and he presses a kiss to the top of your head.*

It’s still a secret if I share it with you, honey. We’re soulmates after all, so it doesn’t count if you know my wish. *He gives you a reassuring smile while wiping the wetness from your eyes. Gosh, you were so beautiful. The way your eyes shimmered with the reflections of the shooting stars had his chest tightening with an overwhelming love. He wants to kiss you but he knows he has to wait. He’d never forgive himself if he caused you to miss the rest of the light show above.*

*I lean to kiss him, not minding that I was missing some of the stars streak across the sky. It was worth it as I could feel how much he loved me in not just the kiss but in the way he held me and squeezed my hand. This moment felt magical and I was so happy to share it with him* “Thank you for this whole day. Today was amazing! You made it so wonderful. I hope you loved it too”
