White Akita Gathering, Scheveningen, Den Haag, 2014
M. lived in the Netherlands, and when I visited her I took very few photos – to this day it is actually one of my regrets, because I don't really know why. Back then, I experimented a bit with taking digital photos, and generally – I was dealing with life, finishing my studies, planning to move, and so on.
For the last two years I have taken relatively few photos outside of my snapshot journal. I stopped, because I had to finish writing my PhD, deal with this and this and that. And in the meantime, my way of working became absurdly expensive, which in turn prevented me from taking such random one-shot photos. I'm getting ready to start again – this archive drop is actually the result of the fact that for the first time in a million years I wanted to check some gear solution, and in effect I looked at photos without feeling like I'm not doing new things, and I felt like doing something new again.
Using the "analog" tag caused my feed to cross paths with posts about promoting eating disorders (sic, think ana+log), so I somehow inadvertently saw a piece of this site outside of my warm little bubble where I've been happily posting things for over a decade. I reported it, blocked it, we'll see.
I don't really know why I'm writing this, I'm still unaccustomed to the fact that my students can visit here, but I grew up with such texts written on other people's blogs, so maybe this quixotic effort isn't completely pointless?

A man with american tie, Warszawa Zachodnia bus station, 2015
This was some random meeting, I remember he boasted about how expensive the tie was and called me sonny boy. Warszawa Zachodnia was an intimidating place, really.

Former Hotel Forum, Kraków, 2014
I'd a chance to sneak and take some pictures of unused parts of mostly closed Hotel by an absolutely random bout of luck – I went to Kraków for a day for some Month of Photography exhibitions, but everything was closed, so I went to Forum to grab a coffee and most likely some wifi to check what to do next, and met my friend who was building an exhibition of his school there. I now work at this school. Life is weird sometimes.

Former Hotel Forum, Kraków, 2014
Built between 1978 and 1988, Hotel Forum is considered as one of the most known brutalist buildings in Poland, and was perceived as jaw-droppingly modern. It was closed after 14 years, and after a period of inactivity, part of it was converted into clubs and event space.
