I tried to compare the original meaning of the lyrics and what it is translated in Japanese lyrics as for Les beaux, les laids (One song from Romi Juri musical where the nurse, Benvolio, and Mercutio sing together)

I got interested in comparing the original meaning and translated lyrics because the director Koike Shuichiro talked about it somewhere.....maybe on a leaflet?

To begin with, I've been feeling it's not natural to insert the phrase fair is foil, foil is fair in the story context....but I learned it's from Macbeth 😳Now I need to read the drama.

Overall, the translated lyrics are a bit different from the original..... it's not surprising, it's impossible to translate directly, especially some philosophical words.

Koike Shuichiro is a great lyricist....

I also tried to compare the original meaning and translated lyrics of C'est Le jour (The first Tybolt's song in the 2nd act where he got to know Romeo and Juliet get married)

I found that Japanese lyrics is much more fierce than the original meaning 😂

Tybolt sings "I'll hollow Romeo's heart" "I'll send the son of Montague to the hell" "I'll tell my love to Juliet by the body of Romeo" etc

How could this lyrics translated so cruel....but yes I love this way.

I guess, Koike Shuichiro wanted Oki Kaname who played Tybolt in the first in Japan to sing this lyrics....

But I've been repeating B digest video (only20min )🥰

I got really really too impressed with AkaBen and Pmerc......It has been a few weeks since I saw it them last time ....

It is too sad when Mercutio shakes off Benvolio's hand without looking at him because Merc got too angry for Tybalt losing his temper....

I really miss RetJ both A and B 😢

Now, I cannot wait the announcement of casts in Manon🥰

I really want Akari to be Lescaut, the second biggest role in Manon. He is a brother of Manon (Arisa Hitomi) but kind of knave ....He is a drinker and a waster....and asks Rodrigo (Aizuki Hikaru) for money.... eventually told him to cheat Manon`s patron and teaches how to trick in casino 😅

I can't imagine how Akari can be such bad guy lol But I believe her ability of acting.

Lescaur sings a lot in the play. I want to listen to her singing!!

I've already decided to buy Romeo and Juliet Blu-Ray of B cast but still thinking of buying A cast Blu-Ray or not 🤔

(Before the announcement of B cast Blu-Ray release, I sent email and air mail to request 😂)

Actually I'm crazy about B cast. After watching B, A seems classic and standard...of course I love A, too. My gohiiki tenju san (Lord Capulet) seems funny and nice with A Tybalt and Paris... they're so fierce 😂

But A cast ver is certainly broadcasted on skystage in a year, and there are already a lot of pics and pieces of movie....

Why am I still thinking? It's because I'm not sure 20min short movie of B recorded on A Blu-Ray includes new angles which is not recorded on full B Blu-Ray!

Give me B Benvolio and Mercutio as much as possible😢!!!

As my introduction, I'm writing my favorite musumeyaku in Hoshigimi below

Arias Hitomi

I love her the most in the musumeyaku 😭

It was Don Juan when I see her for the first time (DVD). She played Elvira, the wife of Don Juan. How beautiful she is, how beautiful she sings, how realistic she plays, everything surprised me!!

Actually I was yukigumi fan then, however in a few months I became hoshigimi fan😚 and I found her in hoshigimi! I felt it was like destiny!

My favorite roles of Miho chan are Lara in Doktor Zhivago, Emperor kougyoku in Kamatari, and Tamahime in Tatsunomiya-monogatari.

Aaaaand now she plays a nanny in Romeo and Juliet. This role is completely "new" for Miho chan😭 I'm glad that she herself enjoys this role. She always makes us cry with her solo song. I can't wait to see Manon next!!

Hanayuki Rira

I believe all people will like her at a glance...I can't believe such beautiful woman exists in this world...🤔 Rira chan is not so tall, and its height makes her cute, too. But!!!!! Once she starts dancing, she looks quite cool and passionate!! Though she rarely plays main roles in performances, she shows her presence by her cute looks and energic dance. My favorite is finale in Ray. She dances with Hiroka Yu. It was a pretty couple with small but powerful Rira chan and tall and smiley Hiroka san 🥰 Now she plays one of Montague girls, and will be a member of Manon 😍

Kozakura Honoka

She is a great actress and singer who is the proud of Hoshigimi!!! Please watch Aloysia in rock opera morzalt, Tonya in Doktor Zhivago, Anabel in a man from Algiers, and Roxane in Cyrano de Bergerac. Also she sings as a etoile in Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet will be happy by her beautiful voice😭

She seems perfect, but out of the stage, she sometimes a little bit weird and really unique person. I guess she is very smart. I love her sense of what she speaks having a tinge of humor. Her intelligence and sense of humor always amused me!! In conclusion, I love her gap between her off stages personality and perfect play on stage !!

Sakuraba Mai

First I'm still shocked by her retirement 🥺I cannot believe that she will be no longer in Takarazuka in a few days..... I understand that she herself chose this way but I want her to stay and show great performances more...Who expected that she would retire just after playing the heroine at a fresh members play and singing as a etoile??

I feel there's something about her thats just plain sexy, and therefore Natalya in the debutants was suited her. On the other hand she surprised us by Juliet in El Halcon!! I can't believe that she is really mame chan and never forget her song My mind becomes pink......😍lol

Sumika Amane

Though she is young(102th) and rarely plays big role......she is known for those in the know!! In a show she dances powerfully and shows spirited face like a imp! Her facial expressions changes often which attracts me always 😍 she is a professional rocket girl in the line dance!! On the other hand her play in a drama is also great!! She herself says she loves playing. She gives unique personality to her roles even they are many other minor characters. I really like Canon's fan in God of Stars. Bolshevist in Doktor Zhivago gave me a strong impression even she didn't have any lines... with her look full of hatred. She will be a member of Basara no Yadhago(the descendant of Basara), the last stage of Todoroki Yu. This is her third time that she act together with Todoroki san. She will certainly take a lot in herself from Todoroki san!!

Haruha Rara chan will retire from Takarazuka at the last day of the next performance of Soragumi

Takarazuka official announced that the following people will leave Takarazuka after the next performance Sherlock Holmes and Délicieux.

Kanon Mai, Ayase Akina, Mitsuki Haruka, Hoshizuki Rio, Nanao Maki, Satosaki Shigure, Haruha Rara

(not only retirement but Rinjo Kira will be senka member....)

I got sooooooo shocked by Rara chan's retirement 😢 I really love her.... Actually I really like all the 98th, but she's one of the most favorite musumeyaku of mine.

Followings are my favorite roles of Rara chan

-Alma in Hotel Svizra House

This is her latest role. Alma is a beautiful lady who lost her husband, and came to the hotel Svizla house with Herman (played by Kiki chan). I was moved by her young age in a music collage where she majored the violin.

Audience can enjoy several costumes for Rara chan..... Sexy and elegant green dress, formal trousers (she has long legs😍) and black court. I believe all beautiful clothes exist for Rara chan !!

-Frida in the Immortal Thorn

Original story: The Makropulos Affair by Carel Capek

She was a heroine and played two Frida...Frida Mucha, and Frida Prus (Frida Mucha is an ancestor of Frida Prus)

The main role Errol was played by Aizuki Hikaru. Most characters were in white, and it was kind of modern style, I felt.

Her advantage and charming point are "modern" and "stylish" that's why this play was suitable for Rara chan. (While Ai-chan is very classical otokoyaku) When she is in white, she really looks like an angel or a fairy 😍

I like serious and sad love story rather than comedy, that's why I love this story, too. Many of my favorite member joined this play....Hanaki Maia, Sumiki Sayato, and Junya Chitose. They have been retired....

Let me say first..... I'm a big fan of Zunrara pair!!(Sakuragi Minato and Haruha Rara)

The main role Suleiman, the King of Osman, was played by Zun chan, and Hurrem is one of his wife, but he loves her the most in the harem.

Zun chan says you are cute....and after several conversations, he pushes Rara chan into bed..... 🥺 What a sexy and beautiful scene!!!

I want to see her more in Takarazuka. I want not her to leave now😭 even I understand she herself decided. She will leave Takarazuka when she is the most attractive as musumeyaku. Her last role is Mrs Hudson. I don't know who she is in Sherlock Holmes....So just looking forward to seeing her!!

Story:

The time is Showa era in Japan. A famous film director Yujiro Shirasawa (Sora Kazuki) and an actress Rena Akabane (Mineri Amairo) are married but without registration.

Shirasawa is trying to create a new film to make Yumeji Takehisa(Sora Kazuki) the subject matter. Yumeji Takehisa is a famous painter in Taisho era in Japan, who had numerous romances with a lot of women.

Yumeji was married with Tamaki(Mineri Amairo), a spirited woman who is senior to Yumeji, however, he fell in love with a pure student Hikono (Hibari Yamabuki).

As Shirasawa shot the film, he gradually immerses in Yumeji’s life...

My report:)

This is a really impressive “film”, rather than a musical. I can’t believe that this is Ms. Yuka Kurita’s first work in Takarazuka! She understands Sora Kazuki and Mineri Amairo’s strength, and also what musical we fan would like to see with Sora!

Every member played very well, but the heroin Mineri-chan was the best actress in this act for me. She played two roles- One is Shirasawa’s wife without resisration. The other is Tamaki, who is a key role of this stage.

Tamaki is not a typical musumeyaku character in Takarazuka. There’s something about her that’s just plain sexy with a black kimono and vivid red lips...

Her love to Yumeji is much more like “mad”. The relationship between Yumeji and Tamaki is a mixture of “love and hate”.

Yumeji violates her when they quarrel (unfortunately this is the era which husbands have “power” in family). Surprisingly he kisses her just after he hit her! This is why I express their love “mad” and “love and hate”... Their act in this scene was quite convincing...

Furthermore, Tamaki’s love becomes much mad while Yumeji falls in love with a pure student Hikono, who wants to learn arts under Yumeji. Actually she never felt jealousy to anyone even her husband made romances with other women (at least I felt so) because she knew that she is the only model of Yumeji’s work and believed that Yumeji could create nothing wihout her.  However, she finally noticed that he drew a portrait of a woman whose model is Hikono...

Mineri-chan is a typical cute musumeyaku, however, she surprised us with her act as Tamaki in this play. It was very nice to hear her beautiful singings:)

There are three women of destiny for Yumeji: Tamaki, Hikono, and Oyo. All of them have different features. Tamaki is a wife who had a baby with him. She’s really a spirited lady who could build a relationship pf equality with Yumeji. Hikono has a completely opposite nature to Hikono. Yumeji never violates and even quarrels with Hikono, and shows relaxing face... Oyo is expressed as uneducated but a beautiful model. How nice it is that various musumeyaku have their impressive scenes!

Other than musumeyaku, I really love otokoyaku who can play middle aged guys well! In this play, Ritsu Wakato plays the father of Hikono...You may not believe she is in the 9th year in Takarazuka! She is enough dignified and looks completely senior to Sora Kazuki (actually she’s 3 years younger than Sora) lol Of course she has a commanding presence in the play, but also shows affection to his daughter;( 

Oh I should not forget to refer to the finale!! It’s full of “typical gorgeous Takarazuka show”!! I’m sure all audience get moved with Sora and Mineri’s beautiful songs and dance!!

I can’t believe that there will not be Blu-ray sold. All the audiences cannot wait to the broadcast on Skystage. I can’t wait to watch the next stage of Soragumi<3

Good news! From May 12th, Takarazuka’s performances will start again!
