So for context, long before Bao Li met Wukong, her family tried picking suitors for her before deciding that The Three Deadly Trials and the Lava Demon would be better. One of said suitors was Lady Bone Demon.

As you can see, things didn’t go so well.

Name: Bao Li

Age: same as Wukong

Gender: Female

Relationship Status: Married to Wukong

Backstory:

Bao Li is the princess of the distant Crystal Kingdom.

The Crystal Kingdom was once a beautiful place where there were treasures and gemstones galore.

Unfortunately, when Bao Li’s parents came into power they hoarded all of the treasures and gems for themselves.

One of the stolen gems was the scared Gem of Life, the source of the kingdom’s magic.

Unfortunately, Bao Li’s parents were very greedy and fought relentlessly over the gem.

During one of their fights, the gem broke, taking away all of the Crystal Kingdom’s magic.

When Bao Li was born, she became the new vessel for The Gem of Life, bringing magic back to the kingdom.

Bao Li was also born with incredible crystal based magic.

Unfortunately, her parents were terrified of her powers and locked them away with a circlet they placed around her neck.

Throughout her childhood, Bao Li’s parents were extremely cruel to her, leaving her an anxious mess.

When it was time for Bao Li to marry, her parents originally arranged a few suitors (including a certain Bone Demon), none of which went well.

After the last suitor disaster, Bao Li’s parents decided to set up Three Deadly trials to test any new potential suitors.

If the suitor passed the trials, they would then face a deadly Lava Demon.

Wukong breezed through the trials and made light work of the Lava Demon, allowing him to claim Bao Li as his bride (much younger her parents’ dismay)

After a spat with Peng, Bao Li had accidentally imprisoned herself in a massive crystal.

515 years later Wukong freed her and now she lives with him on Flower Fruit Mountain.

Personality: Bao Li is shy and soft spoken. She’s usually extremely polite and terrified of upsetting anyone.

Despite her shy nature, Bao Li hates injustice and won’t hesitate to defend herself if necessary.

She loves spending her time reading, knitting, creating sculptures using her crystal magic, and spending time with her husband, Wukong.
