It's incredible how people have been protesting pants and skirts not having pockets but not a single peep is heard over the fact that skirts no longer have underskirts by default. Underskirts (or lining) was a thing when I was a child, no skirt would be made without lining, you didn't have to think and check if your whole ass is visible in a skirt because lining was a thing!!!! Now most skirts don't and it's simply because it's cheaper, fuck the fact that a customer doesn't want their panties shown in broad daylight, it saves a couple of cents on material.

When absolutely 0 of Biden’s accomplishments have made any kind of news, and we’ve been fed a steady diet of fear and panic for 3 years, no one gets to be shocked when he loses the next election to Donald 2.0.
Posting anything positive about the president here will get you called a capitalist bootlicker.
What do we expect to happen?
Anger sells better. Anger feels better, it feels righteous.
It’s easier to protest against a president you don’t like then to actually remain in charge and keep pushing ahead, even if small, consistent accomplishments are all you receive.

I feel like the only fandom classification system (like hp houses, divergent sects) that is really good and applicable to other media is the Homestuck classpect system for several reasons.
First, it's two dimensional with 168 total possibilities. You really can't pick 4-6 character traits to separate all characters into, but 12 aspects and 14 classes is enough variety that it's likely you can actually find something that fits a character, instead of arbitrarily shoving them into a classification they might not belong in due to lack of a better option.
Second, classpect represents thematic aspects and the role a character has in a story, not their personality. As mentioned earlier, it's hard/impossible to create a small amount of categories that everyone must be a part of based on personality alone. Meanwhile, Homestuck aspects focus on broader themes that will be applicable in most stories and character arcs. When assigning a classpect you have to think less about what archetype they are closest too and more about their role in the story, their internal and interpersonal struggles, and their meaning to the story's larger themes and narratives, which is way more interesting!
I don't have a definitive point but I love classpect and I love assigning characters from other media their own classpects

So today I got a rather unkind comment on AO3 (one could call it hate), but I believe it to be a bot for several reasons:
Guest account, but username attached
Said username exists but person is unlikely to be reading Tolkien fic (according to their Tumblr and AO3, they are in other fandoms)
Two grammatically correct sentences
Super generic text that could apply to any fic:
"I've seen better fanfiction written by a toddler. Get it together!"
I'm curious, did anyone else get comments like this? Let me know.
And to those who have gotten rude comments and are now worried/upset: Maybe it was just a bot too. Either way: You're awesome for putting your writing out there for others to enjoy and you don't deserve to get rude comments for it. If you want feel free to message me to compare cases and discuss details :)

"you do not owe friends instant responses to every social message, and anxiety over not receiving the same is something for the anxious person to work on, not your responsibility to totally change for"
AND
"you have to put some effort into friendships, which can include open communication with your friends about how to make both of you comfortable re: messaging. expecting other people to do ALL of the work ALL of the time, in terms of getting in touch and carrying on the conversation, may make them feel ignored and/or and leave"
are ideas that can and should coexist
