i liked mike in volume 1. sure he was kind of a dick to will but (i thought) he was dealing with internalized homophobia, confusing feelings for his childhood best friend who changed since mike had seen last and dealing with the fact that he might feel platonically towards his girlfriend all while running away from the government. turns out he’s just a bitch.

low key disappointed in volume 2.

Questions:

where was will getting vecnafied? we were pretty sure it was going to happen because of millie and noahs posts. did i just accidentally skip a whole part of an episode because it was pretty crystal clear to me?

wtf was wills painting? why did he give the credit to el? for something the writers said they worked hard on, it did seem to show will and mikes relationship or will at all? i was so excited and it was a total let down!

Disappointments:

there was huge lack of byler content, besides for the first talk (even the first talk) it was almost always about mileven. like not everything revolves around her mike.

Mike saying i love you. His character had an okay arc besides from the part about how he loves her and shit. like in season three you already said that you love her, but your character arc was to learn how to say i love you again? just seemed kinda weird to me.

el and mike not mutually breaking up! literally their relationship is so toxic this season. you can just be friends!

i really did like will and Jonathan's talk but i am kinda disappointed in it not addressing sexuality even though it was kinda obvious in the things that jonathan was noticing

Will not being a bigger part of the story. i love you will but you basically did nothing all season (except having long heartfelt conversations with mike and then he basically ignores you all season) and that wasn't your fault. it was poor writing. hope you will be the main character in season 5 or something!
