I want to rant about this for no reason??? But I’m watching the “Greek mythology” episode of nailed it and first of all, they keep saying hades is from hell and trying to make him like the Christian Satan...that’s so disrespectful. In general calling it mythology when there’s ppl who worship those gods & goddesses is also disrespectful. What if we started referring to Christianity as “catholic mythology” or something? Y’all would not like it. And finally making bad cupcake versions of gods seem kinda rude too. Idk, if they did the Christian god, Jesus, and Satan I feel like Christians would be mad. So why do they act like they can do stuff like this to other religions? Idk why but this is bothering me.

READ UNTIL THE END!! So lots of people hate on catra for being evil throughout the show but nobody hates on s4 glimmer and I HATE HER. she’s a terrible friend. From the beginning of the show, it’s obvious she’s kind of spoiled and entitled (but that’s kinda to be expected) and she has a lot of Hubris. She doesn’t listen to her mom. When she gets in trouble for not following orders, she sneaks out to “prove” something?? She’s just always had that character flaw. Her mom kinda balanced it. Which is why s4 Glimmer is SO terrible. She has no balance. She is just doing whatever she wants without thinking about how it will affect anyone. She gets SUPER offended when adora and bow say she’s wrong. Like, super offended. How DARE they say that the QUEEN of brightmoon is wrong??? And let’s not forget she TEAMS UP WITH ADORAS ABUSER???? And doesn’t listen to adoras warnings. And let’s shadow weaver get close to her. adoras ABUSER!!!! Shadow weaver abused adora. That’s like way past the line. She acted like adora was over reacting by getting upset about it, like “I need to learn magic lol” uh isn’t your aunt like...the head of mysticore??? She could teach you tf??? Or one of the other magic people?? But no had to be evil shadow weaver adoras abuser. Someone glimmer claims to love and care about. She puts getting more powerful over her friends every time. Including with the heart of etheria. She uses adora as a distraction and puts her in danger constantly during s4, against adoras will and on shadow weavers advice. Let’s also talk about how adora internalizes every negative thing glimmer says to adora. “Everything bad that’s happening is YOUR FAULT” adora spends multiple episodes trying to prove her wrong. That’s so SAD and adora immediately forgave glimmer when they rescued her because adora felt like she deserved what glimmer said to her. She felt like glimmer was right about all of that. And I feel like glimmer never really apologized for saying “you make everything worse. You killed my mom. I wish you weren’t here”. She tried to force adora and bow to do what she wanted. She tried to take their free will. And when they (understandably and quite reasonably) left her to do what they thought was right, she played victim and said they abandoned her. She manipulated scorpia. She also brought horde prime to etheria. If she hadn’t been dumb enough to try and get more magic, more power, horde prime wouldn’t have found them. Light hope wouldn’t have pulled them out of the dark dimension. I’ve had friends like s4 glimmer and they suck. They’re terrible. I feel so bad for adora having to go thru that while fighting her childhood best friend/crush and dealing with her abuser every day. Also, shadow weavers little comment about hoping glimmer is a good friend? I think she caused some of this on purpose to hurt adora. And glimmer didnt see it. Even when shadow weaver was like “lol let her be the decoy”.

UM ALSO??? Why does nobody talk about how bow forgave glimmer in like 24 hours??? Y’all aren’t mad about that, y’all just hate catradora...and it’s obvious they were endgame from the beginning. Glimmer and adora are AMAZING FRIENDS they take care of each other and truly love each other but glimmer is romantically in love with bow and it’s obvious from season 1. She and bow both love adora sooo much tho. It isn’t super obvious in season 4 that glimmer cares about nothing but power but s5 is cute af.

Ok so obviously this is old since I posted abt it right before I left. I don’t feel this strongly anymore and I understand non canon ships better now! Actually I love that glitradora AU that an artist has( @kaereth I think). But I do still think that she gets way too much leeway from the fandom, especially since the ppl who say “glimmers mom died we should cut her slack/it excuses her actions” are the ones who say catras trauma and abuse don’t excuse her actions and she shouldn’t be given any slack 😐 I don’t think either of their trauma excuses their actions and they should both be held accountable, but they did redeem themselves in the end so I love them both lol.

I know “he/she/they” means noelle is ok with all those pronouns but I use they/she and it gets on my nerves a lot when ppl only use she/her bc I’m afab and I see ppl doing that to noelle a lot too, 99% of the fandom seems to exclusively use she/her which is why I usually use he/they bc I want to try and balance it. Anyways, just a random thought. I do prefer they/them pronouns.
