Friendly reminder that you don't need a pretty desk to be successful in your classes.
Friendly reminder that cheap highlighters still work the same as expensive ones.
Friendly reminder that you don't need a MacBook to get straight A's.
Friendly reminder that you can study anywhere that works for you.
Friendly reminder that academia should be personalized and not changed to fit an aesthetic.
Friendly reminder that if you work hard you can achieve amazing things even if you don't have the fancy things other people do.
Friendly reminder that it's ok to fail classes multiple times.
Friendly reminder that academics aren't a race and are way too competitive.
Friendly reminder that stumbling and failing is actually extremely important and beneficial to you and your growth.

I feel that in the studyblr community nobody actively talks about the study environment some of us have, so shoutout to those students that:
• live with their parents (not everyone goes to college/uni where they have dorms, and even then, not everyone can afford it)
• have to deal with parents/family members constantly arguing in the background
• work / have to worry heavily about just getting by (paying rent, groceries, medication)
• need loud music to study and drown outside noises
• can not "study prettily" at coffee shops
• take care of other family members, and thus have to be ready to drop whaterever they are doing to assist them at any time
• can not concentrate or get "in the zone" no matter what they do
• do not have a personal computer/tablet
• do not have a room of their own
• are neurodivergent and the advice of most study masterpost/tips is not applicable.
You are valid, you are seen, you are not alone. If nobody has told you already: if you are trying the best you can then the best you can is good enough.
sincerely, a student who needed to hear this.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi, it’s werelivingarts! Exam season is coming so soon, and some of us might deal with a lot of stress and mental fatigue while preparing for the exams.
Here are some tips on how to prevent and deal with mental fatigue (before it becomes too serious and leads to burnout). Exams are just ways to test your knowledge and understanding, so please do not expect too high and take care of your health! 🌿
Hope that we would all do well! 😊

Please read if you’re a student
You are NOT PROCRASTINATING, if - you’re sick - you have headache - you feel pain - you’re exhausted - you feel anxious - you have had big changes in your life that make you feel tired/restless/anxious/sad - you have to skip a class/take rest because of reasons I mentioned above. It’s not procrastinating. You’re not lazy. Everyone needs to have rest and take care of themselves when they’re sick. IT IS NOT OKAY TO WORK IN PAIN. Don’t burn out. It’s not worth it. Do not feel guilty. After some rest and relaxing you will study even more effectively. If you feel pain, - take a medicine if it works for you - put all of your books away - take warm shower - eat at least 1 healthy thing and 1 treat/feel-good-food, drink water - go to bed, sleep or read a book/listen to music that is not related to your school (if you have headache/migraine I suggest you to switch off the lights and just sleep) - just take your time - it’ll be all okay.

The ABCDE Method: Accomplish Tasks more Efficiently
I recently came across the ABCDE method that’s similar to what I do to stay productive each day: instead of lumping up all your tasks, sort them into categories and tackle each of them differently. Here’s an outline of the method. Hope it helps :)

Have you ever been unsure of trusting someone
But then its too late
Have you ever caught yourself thinking
If I could go back and tell myself
It would be safer, everything locked inside
Just how it should be
Don't let it out, dont fall for it
Because all of it will becomes worthless
But you're too naive and too desperate
Their sweet consoling words
Feels good that someone is listening, doesnt it?
They won't remember what you felt
They will know what's inside you
What's troubling you
They're listening
But you know they dont get it, don't feel it
To them it's only a story
Few words, few commas, a fullstop.
And it's not, its your life
Words, scribbles, pictures stuck in your head
For what feels like an eternity now
So do you ever just think
If only I could keep it all to myself
Have it all locked inside
Your pain is yours and only yours
And it's pure, beautiful and untouched
And it comes to you that
It was all you ever had
But it's not yours anymore
It's out there with someone, who doesn't even understand it
And what was so pure, is now tainted
Your pain and sorrow is not ready for the world
And it never will be.
