Today has been: re-drafting and editing an essay, finding out I didn’t make the shortlist for a poetry prize (but it’s okay, I might try and submit my work elsewhere), and going on a long cold walk through the university, noticing the winter sunlight, the clouds passing over the buildings, and the reflections in the glass windows.

Good morning, I’m wishing everyone a productive day today. This week I’ve really focused on setting goals and accomplishing them and it’s going well so far. I’m feeling very balanced and content.

tableau of a research assistant’s desk, 3 november 2020: books, long sleeves, breakfast tea, two-thirds-filled notebook, badly-balanced tealights, yesterday’s earrings, cuticle oil, origami squirrel A left on my desk as a surprise two days ago

15.02.21// this rug was such a steal. I found it at a vintage market, not in perfect condition but you’d never know!

Had a productive day - finished an essay, did a big weekly grocery shop, made a chart to help me visualise and keep track of how far I am with my essay portfolio and now I’m revising lecture notes and building a reading list for my next essay. I’m really ready to go hard in January and work faster and more effectively than ever. (x) If you choose to repost this image, credit using the source in the link provided.

Thank you for all the love you've been giving me! I finished my French final and now it's time to study for Chem. I love chemistry more than I used to now that I've taken time to do notes. I found a cute little coffee shop near my house and I think I might go more often.

Spent my rainy afternoon before class in a café on campus. I have to read 150 pages of House Of Leaves for a course I’m taking on the “Digital Text” ☕️

reviewsium I’m done with Crime and Punishment, what a surreal experience this novel was; Dostoevskij’s words inspires my inner writer to keep working on my skills. Additionally I’ve finally decided to purchase two Italian art books, because I need to read and speak more about art.
Which is your favourite painter or a particular work of art that you relate to and appreciate? I can’t really pick one.
