Slept in today and that extra sleep seems to have made all the difference to my mood and energy levels (who knew!). I'm hoping to get done with my decision analysis final essay either today or tomorrow so I can edit and move on to my research proposal for qualitative methods (and eventually get back to the research - which I actually enjoy (no offence to my professors)).
Today's goals:
Drink water (2/3)
Finish readings for tomorrow
Finish first draft of decision analysis final essay
It’s saturday and this is today’s to do list:
- grade vocabulary tests of year 6
- have a meeting via call with my student's psychologist
- continue packing up books into moving boxes
- continue reading "bride" by ali hazelwood
- rot and play the sims
had critique today and went better than expected. decided to go to the library to get up to date with my academic writing notes since i got a bit behind because of thesis work.
Just covered a section of System programming. I have only one section left and I have been dreading it. I have just been absorbing information like a sponge for the past few days. Happy TTPD to those who celebrate.
Day 2/20 of the #20doa challenge by @thelastneuron
Really enjoying this challenge so far 🫳🏽🪵
Didn’t do much today, after all it’s my rest day (this was an assigned essay so it wasn’t studying) after doing some planning for the term ahead, I am going to finally get on my meta quest and do something that will make me copiously dizzy and with motion sickness. ✨
I’ve already gotten a lot done and it’s not even noon. Yesterday I didn’t post because I barely left my dorm, but I got a lot done yesterday too.
What I’ve Done:
Anki
WaniKani
Writing drills
Watched one episode of Given (no spoilers, I’m up to episode 9 so I’m almost done)
What I Have Left To Do:
Genki Chpt 4 review
I’m glad I took a rest day on Saturday, but also I realized Friday night that I was kinda gonna be forced to because I went to my girlfriend’s brother’s house to see my niece and nephew.
I’m taking a break for a few hours and then I’m gonna get back to it.
1 week check-in after Ramadan! A lot of my habits are slowly trying to disappear but I'm really adamant this time about trying to keep thm going. This week has been pretty crazy I got to see so many people alhamdulillah! The flowers are blooming so beautifully, and there is a lot of rain. I have a lot of stuff on my to-do list. Classes are beginning again. I'm trying to fix my sleep schedule too! So many things to do! I'm not upset about any of it though, since I have spent the last few summers mostly working except for a few weeks each August. Still looking for a job but I'm looking more forward to spending this Spring well tbh ✨
✦ academics - i was extremely productive. did a shit ton of math and had a call with my prof which went well. didn't practice french, but i did give it some thought. will be better abt that.
✦ self care - i was pretty good about self care! curiously i've been fiercely academic and self-caring but neglectful of my chores :( will have to contend w that tmr.
✦ social life - i talked to someone on the phone in french today (ahh scary) about possibly becoming her dog walker. i meet her monday, so pray 4 me. took a walk to the park with my parents, visited a lovely church. spring is so nice.
i'm considering adding more sections, or at least more specific ones, to this. they feel too general ugh. i'm bad with limitations. thank you to the people who have followed me, i have stalked u and u seem fabulous. forgive me, i am antisocial out of nerves. now i'm off to bed!
gentle reminder you can rise up from everything. you can recreate yourself. nothing is permanent. you are not stuck. you have choices. you can think new thoughts. you can learn something new. you can create new habits. all that matters is that you decide today and never look back.
Had a good critique today so Im kind of happy about it. Then went to my grandpa’s house for lunch and to work for a bit. Also got the Delta Emulator on my phone and started playing Ocarina of Time and Pokemon Emerald and it took me back almost 20 years back in time holy shit
doing my literature review at a coffee shop nearby 📖✨ using mostly notion to take notes on what I read. I have an appointment with my research advisor & I'm feeling kind of nervous. Hoping for the best 🤞🏼
