I love you people going into "useless" fields I love you classics majors I love you cultural studies majors I love you comparative literature majors I love you film studies majors I love you near eastern religions majors I love you Greek, Latin, and Hebrew majors I love you ethnic studies I love you people going into any and all small field that isn't considered lucrative in our rotting capitalist society please never stop keeping the sacred flame of knowledge for the sake of knowledge and understanding humanity and not merely for the sake of money alive

Raise your hand if you've ever been victimised by having to study welfare state regimes in every single module you take.

Started my new bujo. Again, a handmade present by a friend to fit my general obsession with Minoan Pottery. I love it so so much.

Today was pretty chill, since I’m on summer holidays I don’t have much to do other than holiday homework. I just made some digital notes for Legal Studies, which is pretty much all I’ve been doing these holidays since I’ve been avoiding all my other homework like the good student that I am! I feel like I’m prioritising Legal way too much because it’s my favourite subject and since I’m accelerating it goes towards my ATAR score, but this prioritising is at the expense of my other subjects too which I really need to just not do.
I’m aiming to start reading my Literature novel in a few days, as well as starting my Italian homework so I don’t leave these things to the last minute. Overall, I’m aiming for a pretty productive summer holidays.

Introduction post
Hello there, my name is Julia and I am currently in year 11 studying for my VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education). I want to be more motivated for school, so I’ve made this blog. My pictures won’t always be aesthetic (even though I’d like them to be), this blog is just for showing my journey as a VCE student and being able to see other studyblr posts as well. Feel free to follow! <3

november 19th, saturday
zoning out and walking into the apartment next to the library instead counter: 2
struggling with biological classification and physics these days. winter brings along the desire to sit at the corner of my room and stare at the ceiling endlessly: no thoughts, head empty.
I think I might start a productivity challenge because the november blues seem unending, just like the number of forthcoming exams.

I woke up early to go shadow an endocrinologist at the hospital and spent the rest of the day migrating through my house, trying to get into a studying groove to no avail. Still managed to finish the primer I was reading though!

I've rarely, if ever, been that busy with university for a longer time frame, but oh boy, as stressful as it is... It feels rewarding.

One of the great advantages of doing my MA at the same university as my BA is that I know most lecturers and even have some study notes from previous years that I can just update!

Didn't realize how much I missed being a full time university student at actual university..... Getting overpriced coffee, taking notes in class, running from building to building, meeting new people. I truly feel like I restarted university, but this time with confidence and knowledge, and I love it.
